Beauvillier was playing pretty decent with good speed.  Thanks Beau for playing hard and making Chicago see you as a good fit.

Cap space is expensive.  A move Canucks needed to make to try and improve.

Agree.  He played well for us last year and he wasn't a liability this year.  He was kind of like Tanner Pearson.  You don't mind him being on the team but you always wonder if you should keep spending that money for him.  Sad to send any guy from this team over to Chicago.....who wants to do that to someone......but thanks Beau and good luck.

Guys, we need a LHD right now, not a RHD. Friedman is literally playing the left side. Soucy is out until January.

This is a legit playoff team and Allvin promised them a reward. Zadorov is obviously the reward. Whether you like him or not he is the perfect Soucy replacement. And when Soucy eventually comes back we will have great depth for a playoff run. Cole and Zadorov can both play the right side.

With $4 million in cap space we can trade for Zadorov without having to send any cap back to Calgary. That is huge as they are also capped out. Toronto can’t do that. So we have the advantage.

Hopefully, we can negotiate an extension with Milstein so we are not just getting a rental.

I am not good at trades… but as long as we don’t give up a 1st or a top prospect, I am good.  Zadorov is a complementary player and not a guy you throw a lot of assets at to be a rental.

He may be overpriced and not worth what Calgary is demanding.

I am not high on Raty as he doesn’t seem to be a stylistic fit to the way we want to play.  I would move him for Zadorov.

Raty is probably the best player in Abby over the last 10 games and the only real depth they have at C

No its not real! unless you dont want Soucy back.

thats 3 mil of your bucket of gold

Yes we just gained a huge victory in dumping Beau if that happened but its kinda fools gold because you also gotta put someone in.

Not really. Beau is replaced by Aman. That’s a cap difference of 3.3 mil. Huge win for us. What are you thinking?

I doubt Calgary is in sell mode now that they are playing well and trending well.  They certainly aren't trading him to the division rival they're trying to chase down

The team is a little worse without Beau, but should be better once his salary is reallocated.  I’m very happy to see us dump him and a little surprised he had positive trade value. Nothing against him - enjoyed watching him play here and wish him all the best.

He isn’t a top 6 player on a good team, and his salary and style make him a bad fit for a bottom six role. He’ll get a better chance in Chi and wherever he goes at the tdl to show off his skills and earn his next contract. Win-win trade.

I am warming up to PA. Good job building support for the core and not afraid to move on quickly when his moves don’t work out. Really appreciate that he doesn’t mind looking silly calling Beau ‘like a first round pick’ when we got him, and dumping him for nothing a few months later.

Beauvillier wasn't playing a natural position on the 4th line. Ultimately, although it's a net loss on overall skill, it's realistically an upgrade on defensive coverage with Aman without really sacrificing production you would expect from the 4th line. If we can add Zadorov or Bear, we have a fairly significant net gain on the team as a whole.

This trade seems like a win win win.

Canucks get free cap space without giving anything up to do it. Amazing

Beau gets a chance to play more minutes and showcase himself for a possible move to another playoff team.

Chicago could potentially turn their 5th round pick into a 4th or maybe even more at the deadline and if they do, good for them!

The 5th rounder is conditional.. 650SN

So most likely we won't get 5th..

Who cares about the 5th...

Thanks to Correy Perry we got rid of the cap for free..

watch it all go to arbitration..

Never heard about how E Kanes situation with The Sharks was settled,.  But it was settled out of court I believe ?
