Maybe, but he doesn't look injured to me, he looks like he's lost all confidence in his game

can agree on that, but his shot definitely hasnt looked the same either, since he got slashed on the wrist.

Exactly. They're turning it around. What we need to do. We will.

It just really really sucks that this is a bragging rights game. And now everyone is going to look down on the Canucks and wank off the Knights. Kinda like what's going on in this thread.

The issue is that he is not playing with urgency, holding the puck, not shooting when it's available and opt for pass.  It goes for entire Canucks team. Boeser for one, opt to pass rather than shoot even it's in the way.

I would have been okay with a loss if we competed and it was a close game. This is not even close though.

This team loses its mojo so easily I don’t get it.

Battling for 1st in the division and they look like a team that has lost 8 straight…

Why is Petey terrified to shoot the puck?!?

Canucks will now play hard for 20 mins. Make it 3-1 or 3-2 and then act like they worked hard and were just unlucky.

This is an important teaching lesson for the coaching staff to remind them you have to out battle teams. TBH, losing to SJ, being stifled by Anaheim (but granted winning), and now stifled by Vegas, there's a trend emerging that they're getting away from understanding they need to compete and not rely on skill.

Sure, but you have to be your best against the best...he's invisible and not battling tonight...not saying always the case, but I have noticed in games where its harder to find open ice, he tends to not be as effective. If he wants 11 mil a year, it’s games like this where he can't disappear.

Well I’d be happier with 9 million haha. Maybe a blessing that way, I kid.

I’m not worried. There will be ups and downs this season. I think people expectations are a little too high. Usually teams make the playoffs a few times before the become a titan

And that was playing very well for most the period. They basically dominated possession the first half & managed nothing.

Its not a size thing its a mindset thing.

They need to learn from Vegas. If Vegas touches the puck below the hashmarks it's like straight to the net. Not pull it into the corner and pin it on the boards til you can shove it to the point.

Not only that but out battle them from the get go. They just let Vegas dictate the play.

Well if it looks like a duck and quaks like a duck.

Vegas are the Cup champs for a reason.  Pointing out that the Canucks are still a ways from being legit playoff contenders isnt a bad thing, it's being honest that they're early in their evolution toward that goal
