The Habs passed on Michkov.  They are going to regret it.  He is going to be a superstar in the NHL.  They also could have taken one of the many great Dmen in that 2022 draft.  Instead they took the power forward that may or may not develop.  All of those Dmen from 2022 are better than Reinbacher.  They are all 19-20 years old and playing key roles with their teams already.  Mintyukov, Jiricek, Nemec, Korchinski.  All gonna be studs in the NHL.  Not sure what the hell Philly was thinking.  But at least they were smart enough to not pass on Michkov.

Drawing on your years of being an NHL scout and using your crystal ball to see how all these players look 5 years down the road?

Also, I love how you're comparing a player they took this year to players they could have taken last year. Lol.  Like they were sitting at the draft table in 2022 thinking about who'd they would draft in 2023

Montreal has a top 5 prospect pool and the 3rd youngest roster in the league right now.  They'll be just fine.

Habs suck pucks. Their prospects stink.
Love the Canucks and hate all others.

Not surprising OEL is only decent on Florida.. there’s reason why players struggles here and flourish as soon as they leave because they actually put them in positions to succeed rather than force players into playing roles or style that ain’t their game. Dickinson and Schmidt are another example. After we force out kuzmenko he’ll prolly flourish and start producing again as well. RT is trying to turn everyone into a defence first 200 ft guy doesn’t really work for all player. He’s just way too passive scared to make mistake now or he’ll end up on the bench/pressbox

Are we the Vancouver kuzmenko's? Didn't realize we had to design the team around him.

Were you convinced that they will miss the playoffs all together?

They were in a pretty deep hole, I figured they'd be in tough to claw their way out but they seem to be doing it

It's tough to make up ground in this league, we saw that the past couple seasons

So yeah, I guess I thought they'd continue to spiral

Wonder if Joseph's gonna get a call from DOPS after the refs blew that crosscheck to Larkin's head. But wow, Perron with the meathead follow up needs to put him out more than 5 games.

(First period, shortly before Kane's goal)

This shit has to end, crosschecked to the upper neck/head from behind.

DETROIT (AP) — Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin was face-down and motionless on the ice for about a minute after being cross-checked in the back of the head and neck by Ottawa's Mathieu Joseph on Saturday night.

Larkin was eventually able to stand up, but was hunched over as he was assisted to the locker room. There was no immediate report on the injury.

Standing near the Ottawa goal during a first-period power play, Larkin took the hit from Joseph and was pushed into the Senators' Parker Kelly, who also hit Larkin as the Detroit player fell.

Joseph and Kelly were assessed roughing penalties on the play with 6:10 left in the period. Detroit's David Perron was given a match penalty for intent to injure for cross-checking Artem Zub as the Ottawa defenseman stood next to the prone Larkin.
