They're a hard team to stop when they're going, top six heavy or not

They are a weird team. They can stink like a bottom team for a stretch then turn around and go on an amazing stretch of being a top team.

Especially when McDraisaitl are on a heater. They both can have pretty lengthy stretches of hot play.

Aye, if Draisaitl heats up too look out

I don't like the Oil at all, but McDavid and Draisaitl are two of the best

McDavid looks poised to go on another Art Ross run, if they get a wildcard he probably gets the Hart too

6 goals and 25 points in his last 10, nobody can ratchet things up like McDavid when he's on, like him or not that talent is undeniable

People are short-selling how much difference a healthy Ekholm makes for the Oilers. He’s an elite defender, among a group of below-average ones. When he’s on, it has a huge effect on the rest of the team.

When McDavid & Ekholm are rolling, Oilers are elite. But when those 2 are struggling -and we’ll throw Draisaitl in there too, as he hasn’t looked right all season - they are quite possibly the worst team in the league.

Not great but it could be worse, holidays and maybe some of the all-star break eat up some of it

Also gives him enough runway to get back into the swing of things down the stretch before the playoffs, assuming the Jets can maintain their spot or stay in the mix without him

Big blow

Could allow another team to creep into the central or grab a wildcard position

So.....we've spent the past week or so debating on how long a suspension David Perron and Erik Gudbranson deserve....yet a dirty play by Ryan Strome has Kyle Connor on the sidelines for 6 to 8 weeks and Strome gets to walk with nothing further than the 5 minute major and game misconduct that he was assessed by the on-ice officials?

AFAIK, both Artem Zub and Dylan Cousins are okay and won't miss any time.

Seems like something isn't right there.....

I am not sure that Coilers may go far with Skinner as #1

You truly don't believe this team can stay top 3 in the division? What makes you think they cannot? They are 12 points ahead of Edmonton. As long as we stay the course there should be no reason why we don't finish top 3 in our division. Especially with Suter & Soucy drawing back into the lineup eventually.

12 points with 3 more games played on top of oilers having 4th easiest schedule remaining against teams % wise vs the Canucks 14th hardest.. Edmonton winning 3.5 more games than the Canucks in 50+ games is totally possible

Is Caufield becoming one of the worst contracts in the league? The gut is a Smurf, who does nothing to help the Haberdoodles win if he’s not scoring. Snd he’s not scoring. Doodlebugs wasted a key core contract on that loser doodle.
#hatethehabs.

Whatever, the bigger mistake was letting Tafolli go before getting Pearson

Karlsson hasn't been the offensive monster he was last season but he's still quietly up to 21 points in 28 games, he seems to be fitting in well

EK is a huge selfish loser muffin.

no team will ever win with that kind if a selfish ass sack of craperolla
