As for site merch, maybe we just have a section or link to member-designed T-shirts (like Threadless) to help raise funds for expenses? Pretty easy to design a tshirt with all the available tools online now.

I think something could be created that ties ALL of British Columbia and all it’s Canucks fans together without breaking the Canucks TM…could use my old home towns Dawson Creek Canucks seniors jerseys or something lol. Probably easier to get permission from them I’d say lol. They’ve used Johhny Canucks forever as their jersey.

 

Anyways, my point being there are awesome die hard Canucks fans all over this province. It would be cool to develop something that envelops everyone not just Vancouver. I think it would sell.

 

I’ve always thought it would be nice to see something created with our provinces provincial flag. Lots of cool colours and schemes to pick from out that flag.

Had a quick few minutes tonight to monkey around and create a potential logo for CFF (if nothing already in the works).

It's rough, kinda basic/boring but thought I'd put it forward as a rough template.

Could at least adjust it and turn it into an icon if we end up creating an app for the site.

Thoughts?

But if so, that would be so thin skinned. He's one of the biggest landowners in the region, of course he's going to take shots. (PDG might be his fav Italian player now). Who knows. But the infer-ations are out there.

 

Which advertisers say there were racist things on the board? I doubt they would want to be named. But if we had a list of advertisers we could probably figure it out. My suspicions, unfounded yes, but my inklings would tell me they are eastern based and not really BC/Van based. 

Overt ethnic racism postings would be deleted automatically, if  there was any, I'm glad I missed it.

 

ps. I noticed the older Italian Canadians are dying away, the older real Italians of East Van, I was at Nanaimo and has Hastings, their old stores and barber shops are disappearing. I believe the city should commemorate them somehow.  One of the core group of immigrants that helped shape Vancouver.  I can see it, PDG, JT, and Kuz all arguing at a sidewalk Cafe on the drive. Subtitles. Talking about the PP. in Italian. Then it gets heated, Hand gestures everywhere, ALL STOP, older Italian says to PDG, YOUR NOT EVEN ON THE PP!! Arguing continues.
