IMO, I don't see anything ground shaking coming from the media availability.....MAYBE a Pettersson extension.

Don’t trades usually just get broken on twitter? I could maybe see something like a signing but in todays day and age it seems strange that they would announce something like that at a media scrum.

Except the practice facility was ownership's assignment to Jim.  He's also been the one answering to media when the question arises during press conferences of the front office leadership team.

I'm pretty sure the division of labour would see a monumental task like securing a practice facility (with all of its related fine details) be a job for someone who isn't encumberred by the day-to-day responsibilities of mid-season team management.  Ergo, GMPA is not likely the one to be breaking any announcement on that front, especially since it's something being handled by his boss, who I'm sure would know much more detailed information to answer the questions that would inevitably arise.

 

So, yes, once the practice facility is decided upon and officially running, that would be a management responsibility to ensure proper operation to the benefit of the team, but until then, this is not (and would not) be part of Allvin's responsibilities, nor would he be expected to answer any questions about it at this time.

All he would have to do is announce its location.

 

Im sure he’s been briefed on everything regarding it. You don’t need Rutherford there for such a basic announcement.
