No disrespect to Pettersson but Rutherford needs to understand the Pettersson is not Crosby. He can’t just play with any wingers. Mikheyev is a good 2nd/3rd liner and Lafferty is a good 3rd/4th liner. None of them are 1st line wingers.

Well Kuzmenko is paid like a top winger and has scored 4 goals. If Petey wants 11-12 mill a year he needs to elevate those around him. Look at 36 year old Anze Kopitar and how he’s arguably got the most productive best line on in hockey carrying Byfield and Kempe. The best players find a way to get it done.
