AK-19
There was a recent interview with Kyle Wellwood and his career. There were some interesting tidbits on his time with the Canucks. I will say Wellwood comes off as very intelligent. He has possibly the most lackadaisical attitude of an NHL player I've ever heard. It was interesting to hear how he wasn't really in love with the sport but enjoyed then surrounding aspects of being in the NHL. Definitely worth a listen, Kyle Wellwood joins at around 2:43:00. Also surprising to me, he lives in the lower mainland. Edited December 7, 2023 by AK-19

Popular Post Sophomore Jinx
I actually didn't mind little Welly, he was okay with Demitra (RIP) as a linemate...Demitra was so good, even with Wellwood and that plug Bernier, he was a good point producer and a class act.

Ronaldoescobar
Wellwood had some of the best hands and a ton of skill but as the OP mentioned he just didn’t really seem to ever care too much about the game. He probably could have been one of the best to play at the time.

1970 And Beyond
I really liked the guy, too bad he just didn't seem to have the drive to succeed.
