Even though he’s young I like his size and skill level, he can skate on big ice and sounds like he’s focused on becoming more quick in tight. Be awesome if he plays a few NHL games, as I could see him in a sheltered bottom pair with one of our other Big D this coming season…if he does well.

We have good veteran depth up and down the lineup so our prospects that are pushing towards the nhl lineup will need to become strong to dominant ahl players before they start getting call up opportunities at the NHL level

He should be a good addition on the farm team along with Aatu Raty, Lekkerimaki and also Willander who’s coming soon too. Let them cook there and be call ups in case of injuries. But I wanna see some preseason NHL minutes if possible…depends on training camp though I imagine to make a push. Pure961089
His skating is so elegant for someone his frame (6''4 210 lbs.) both edges and straight line speed are very good. His mobility and agility in all directions is sublime. 3rd best puck mover if he makes the team out of camp. CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Interesting to note that D-Petey was playing right side a lot for Vasteras Edited September 4 by CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Rusty Shackleford
What a gem we got in D. Petey. Didn't know how great his skating and vision is and he has the size and a bit of snarl to boot. Hoping his learning curve is quick as we need him and Willander to really round out the d core for the future
Pure961089 Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM The Canucks need more mobile, physical D like this in their lineup. He's more ready than you think, he's an easy #5 right now and could be #3 soon.
German Canuck Posted yesterday at 04:55 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:55 AM He played second tier in sweden, only a couple AHL games and now a preseason game in young stars classic. He is not ready for NHL games 2

We do need his snarl and willingness to use it. Abby fans will love him this year. This kid has Bieksa written all over him. Imagine in a couple years...... Hughes Willander D-Petey Hronek 4 mobile d man, one who skates circles around you. Two above average skaters who can push other teams back. And the snarly one who has mobility, size, vision, and a protect the team at any cost attitude. That will be a top 4 we can all appreciate. 2

Fobort is a PK specialist, DPeyey can skate circles around him. He could slide into the #5 spot effortlessly. His game is made for the smaller ice surface an is more mobile than Myers or Soucy. He's been playing against men since he was 17. He's ready for the #5 spot right now. But it won't be given to him, like Lekkerimaki, he has to take it. Allvin and his scouting staff think he's close, more than most media pundits. It will be fun to watch.

Sorry but he jumping from the Allsvenkan to the NHL. He needs to learn the system, he needs to get stronger, and he needs to get up to speed and adjust. But really needs to develop a little more too.

Ghostsof1915
Sad to say Tolopilo probably is a lock for the starters gig in Abby.
Alflives
Definitely an NHLer. Only NHLers in this game, on both teams, are D-Petey, Lekkerimaki, and Raty. And non of these refs or linesmen will sniff NHLer ice. Worst ever.
