No I didn’t write head coach. We all know he was an assistant in Pittsburgh. Still a coach. You want to tell Foote and Gonchar they’re not coaches? Sorry man your take is off. Some defensive inconsistencies as you’ve pointed out. That doesn’t make him a bad or inconsistent coach. The teams he was head coach of, were just downright crappy teams trying to keep their payroll as low as possible.

Popular Post Smashian Kassian
Interesting test tonight. The Canucks held Carolina to 4 even strength shots through 40 mins & yet the game was 3-2 after 40. And part of it is bounces, they should've scored 4 or 5, but it wasn't the stingiest game to that point. Then the 3rd starts & its tied right away, a critical goal that would've caused Canuck teams of years past to fall apart. But Pettersson answers quickly & then the Canucks completely lock it down. Don't think Carolina had many great chances. Basically it wasn't perfect, but this team is growing, and tonight was a good test facing some adversity & they passed that test. The Duke
I was half serious when I suggested dealing Kuz at the deadline last year… but I can’t see them doing it right now. It’s a rough patch - players have them. He also recently took a puck to the face - maybe he’s rattled. He's still a top 5 skill guy on the team and we’ll need him before the season’s done. Unless it’s for a real key piece - like that top 4 D we’re all dreaming of - I wouldn’t want to see him go.

What am I missing that the few Tocc haters are seeing?? The best start in franchise history, players having career seasons, as it sits we would almost sweep the NHL awards, players breaking 50 years of Canucks hockey records, highest scoring team in the league, +/- in the league, consistently flirting with a potential presidents trophy, etc, etc, etc. I've been a nucks fan long before the original Quinn days, and I do not recall a more successful team in most all categories. This is his fuckin 63 game as a coach!! My brain is frazzled trying to comprehend this complete and udder bullshit with our coach, just done. 5 1 2 1 2

KFAN
Fun game tonight. Not incredibly good for our boys, but definitely fun. Petey was so improved, Myers and Zadorov were our best defense team, and Juulsen was very good (a couple of misplays). Our worst defense pairing was Quinn and Hronek. I put it down to an off night. I've always been a JT fan and really thought he should be captain over Bo, but his inability to control his emotions, thwarted that opportunity. He's really got it together this year and is leading the team in so many ways. IMO, if Quinn wasn't our captain (not totally sold), JT would be the obvious choice. Rip The Mesh
Pettersson was himself on this game, very invested. They were all invested. Quinn looks a Little tired in general but his role is huge. I have to keep reminding myself that he's not Superman and eventually that catches up. Some time off is at hand so the batteries should get charged. 1
