That guy's an absolute idiot.

He's the guy who squealed when we traded the 1st for Miller.

He still hasn't lived it down.

And yet, he still tries to make himself relevant.

What a fool.

Like you say, he's in desperate need of attention.

Yeah I read somewhere that negative news sells more than positive news… And that negative news attaches to your brain instantly whereas it takes something like 14 seconds? for positive news to attach itself to your brain… Perhaps that’s why they say patience is a virtue…? And instant gratification is generally frowned upon… in wise circles…

if you really want to get deep and philosophical it really shows you that the human race is very broken and addicted… To distraction… And is generally lazy… it thinks that it wants what is easier and fast - but to those who see and hear they know that the best way requires one to be ‘slow and steady’

hmm…

Seriously.... Where is there a hole in this line-up?

That looks awesome!!!!

It has it all... Swap around whoever you want... Match up how you want.  Speed, youth, veteran presents, skill, grit, size... You name we got it.

... Scary thing is... The window is just opening now.

This looks a lot like the 94' team.  I like the make up of this team... Maybe even more than 2011.

I love listening to all Rick’s post game interviews win or loose.  He is one of the first coaches I remember that actually thinks about the questions and gives an honest answer rather than just pre-planned cliché answers.  No more “that’s a good team over” or moustache twitch’s.  Take us to the promised land!

Torts was also a good interview, didn't mince words and said it how it was.   AV was ok, had a sense of humour...Crow was a good interview too.   Greener obviously wasn't always pleased about that part of the job.    We also had a bad-mediocre roster then.

Allvin deserves a ton of credit.   For sure he's going to be a candidate for GM of the year just making the playoffs.   If we can keep things going and hold our spot ... then a slam dunk GM of the year and coach of the year.  Just look at our defense, after one full year of working on it!

QHs Hronek

Zadarov Cole

Soucy Myers

Juulsen.

Also re-worked our bottom six and added Kuzmenko and Mikheyev.

And brought in, a group of winners and sound hockey minds in Tochett (who brought in rookie AC's in Foote and Gonchar).

Allvin has been a great finisher so far, and don't think he's done yet.

Agree. We should go to black jerseys full time.

Glad they are making it our third jersey, and that they are using it often.     Would have loved to have seen Bieksa and those guys wear them (they did ask, and did want too - Bieksa said this),  i'm ok with how they are doing it now as well.    Come playoffs though...if they are into it,  maybe they should make the swap and use the Orca as the third just as often instead.    QHs looks like a total boss.   Demko is McLean'ing the heck out of it.   They all look great in it.    This teams also got those 90's teams vibe going.

Edit:  Just stoked entire generations, that missed that jersey, now gets to see it in action, and how it just works.    The blacks are great ... the Whites were even better.

3rd line played textbook tonight.

D stepping up and closing the gaps/hitting which didn't allow Tampa any time or space entering the zone, huge!

Hogz steamrolling Kucherov was *chefs kiss*

Talk about a turn around season for Brock, guy has battled through some adversity and is coming out on top.

Fun game to watch this morning!

Ian Cole averages 19:48 minutes per game.  Noah Juulsen averages 13:50 per game.  Why would you think Tocchet would healthy scratch Cole over Juulsen?  That makes zero sense…

Because Soucey makes Cole redundant on the left D .... Cole doesn't make Juulsen redundant on the right D

Zadorov has been rock solid, but we also looked very good with Soucy.

Big difference in the team when we’re dressing 5 regular NHL’ers on the back end than when we only have 4.  Can’t wait till we have 6. (All due respect to Juulsen, who’s been good!).

But with Soucy back that’s a lot of guys who are almost 2nd pair level - and a big physical group overall.

Juulsen is playing himself into a regular roster player right now.    Do you think he'd clear waivers?   I'm not sure he would ... RHD's are hard to find.    Team likely rolls with 7d's.   We will need that depth.   He could also rotate in and out to give guys games off to heal from general soreness, bumps and bruises and tweaks.     We've got six NHL regulars, and Juulsen, who gives this club breathing room for injuries.    Best D-core, we've had in close to a decade.    Soucy was an awesome UFA signing.    If this club can survive Jan and Feb, and maintain its position in the standings,  hope that Allvin is working with Hronek and Zadarov's agents ... maybe Cole's and even Myers as well.    We've gone from a small D-core, to a big one.     Won't make it easy at all come playoff time for opposing forwards.

Yes it really is quite impressive what had been done.  You can’t argue with results.  The right people for the job have been put in place.  Credit to Aqualini also for getting everyone on board and maybe even learning from his mistakes and taking his ego and need to be in control out of the equation and just letting the hockey minds do their thing.  There is a cohesive vision from the managers through to the coaches through to the players and right down to the farm and development teams and even scouting.  Really excited for what the future holds.

Just need maybe one more addition/subtraction like you said and then getting our key guys signed and navigating the OEL penalty the next few years and I think we are on our way to some special years of hockey.
