And how them and the league white washed the Incident with Beach.

Collusion at its finest.

Garland has a few strikes against him that make me want to trade him, and even quicker now that he is showing well.

1. Obviously one of the smallest tykes in the league and size does matter unless you are a phenom like Hughes or St Louis etc and Garland is not.

2. He has no shot.  He could have had 7 or 8 goals over the last 2 games and muffed every one into the chest of the goalie or other easy parry.

3. He cannot crack the top 6 and earns a buck less than $5m/yr for this and 2 more years...Yikes!

3 strikes you're out, imo; can't wait to see what we get for the feisty lil f-er.  (No retention.)

I admit this is a good argument and you might be right. Garland does not have a good shot and his cap hit is too high for a 3rd liner.

But, the current third line is the best the Canucks have had for a long time so I don't really want to mess that up.

And I don't think the Canucks could get much if anything in return in a trade for the reasons you cite. Although he has been playing well, his counting stats are not good enough that trading him now would be "selling high".  If the Canucks could unload his cap hit (no retention) in return for any kind of positive asset (B prospect or 3rd round pick, say) I probably would do it, but I would have mixed feelings about it.

Ouch! What can Rick, or Alvin, do about this one glaring stat. We're on pace for a decent seed in the first round of the playoffs but that PK, well, 😢

And that is how you beat the Canucks. I'm sure McDavid is eyeing that poor PK % for the next time they play, working on his dive.

No worries though, they'll be much better once Suter gets back. Oh wait...

Lots of time for the pk to improve. It doesn't have to be more than average.

Pretty amusing how well Joshua and Garland have been together. I remember they had a scuffle during training camp, the two of them must of bonded more after.

But you gotta remember these guys are in crazy awesome shape they’re in the prime of their youth and they don’t feel things the same way… Their bodies respond so much better than ours do - flabby old men that we are…

kinda reminds me of an old SNL skit from the early 90s…

They'll definitely handle it better than we would, but that kind of travel is still a factor. And the more time zones involved, the bigger the impact.

The slightest difference can make a huge difference.  With the improved skill and conditioning of players today, everyone is trying to find an edge that will take them over the top.  It's already clear today that travel impacts performance.  Just imagine when double-digit time zones are involved.

#2 only applies to this year. Not sure what is behind it, but the last two seasons he flirts with 20 goal seasons. At the rate he is going now, he won't break 10.

Is he snakebit (doubtful), or have the yips (more likely), or...?

The pricetag is hard to swallow this season, but he is still a good part of that awesome 3rd line.

I agree, if he does move, there shouldn't be anything retained, all things remaining the same.

I believe that we had an unprecedented start due to all our stars playing at the top of their game at the same time. Something very rare to see.

We now see others chipping in with one or two of the stars having very good games. This phase is more normal, it defines a good and complete team.

What’s scary is that the Canucks have another gear once Kuzy and Petey regain their form. We will also soon have our PK specialist and big defender Soucy back in the lineup.

Man, he sounds so jaded already playing on that dumpster fire of a team. I'm sure he's thinking about how different it would be for him if his pick went to the Canucks. Do you guys think having Bedard on our team right now would make us a legit contender?

It can be contributed to Rangers' game where they have had two 5 on 3 PK and they scored on that and they struggled with PK.  I think their PK will improve greatly with Zadorov as a part of PK as well.  Our best PK were injured early as well.  If we are healthy, our PK can be a top 10.  I can see a new PK system is working well in last few games.
