How much more of the cap is going up by that time if at all?

In 7 months it goes up by 4.2 This was from an article on the athletic, showing what can be expected... So 8.6 total before the 2 hard years hit. EP D ,Hirose,McWard, Johansson,Woo and who knows. If two can make it we are good. Maybe add another cheap vet as the 7th or trade for one.

Could be significant or not much. Up in the air with how the NHL has been about it with the NHLPA. I think there will more than likely be a significant bump next offseason but idk if we’ll get consecutive years of bumps. Nevertheless we can do ourselves a favour by making sure we don’t have any more dead cap on top of it for those years. Whether that be not retaining our making sure we can handle bonuses on ELCs and have them not carry over. Anything more than 4.76M in dead cap and that’s a quality top 4 D, top 6 forward or 2/3 of a solid 3rd line we cannot afford to bring in. He is going to want to cash in on a long term deal, with his foot speed I wouldn't want to lock him into his mid 30's. Lekkerimäki is basically brock 2.0, would be a natural succession plan. Maybe instead of letting him walk, the best course of action would be to trade him for pieces coming back to Vancouver. But I wonder if Brock would resign to stay in Vancouver for a cheaper deal? It just so happens that the same moment brocks contract ends is the same moment that the wild will have 14 million open up in cap space (Suter and Parise buyout). I could see him wanting to go home. So we're going to trade our best scoring winger next TDL, likely in the middle of a playoff push, before Lekkerimaki is ready to replace him? If we get a giant haul? Hell yeah!! And who is to say lekkerimäki isn't ready for NHL action over a year from now? Would you rather pass up on a Horvat like return and let him walk for free? Say $7M x 6-8yrs.

Grandmaster
Big Z needs to stay. Top 3 priority signings: 1) EP (less than 12M per) 2) Hronek (less than 7.5M per) 3) Big Z (less than 5M per) Edited January 5 by Grandmaster

So he would be 33-35yr on a 6-8yr contract. Edited January 5 by BPA
