I wonder if he feels, if developed well, if he sees him as a potential number 1. Not so much in van but generally? As long as we got Hughes it’s very hard for anyone else to be considered No.1. 1
Popular Post Locke Lamora
Man, you can really see the confidence growing in Willander. He’s starting to hold onto the puck and make some offensive forays into the opposition zone. He just effortlessly blew past a couple of defenders with his skating ability. Kid could be leading the tournament in +/- by the end of this game the way things are going for him. 4

Locke Lamora
If Johnny Lek were to join the Canucks tomorrow, I honestly think he’d have the best pure shot on the team.

Chon derry
It’s a shame a game with so much on the line has to end this way. So much for fancy stats. They mean nothing , years from now who’ll remember that Sweden held the lead for the whole game.

The release on his shot is ridiculous. Once he improves his skating and strength a bit more, this kid will be filling the net for us…especially on the PP. He is the clear heir apparent to Brock.

Popular Post Locke Lamora
Just now, DeNiro said: Nope. Sweden already won the group. Yep. Sweden could have easily shut it down when they were down 2-0 knowing a loss wouldn’t affect their seeding. But they came out flying in the second period and pushed the Finns to the limit. Just perhaps, this is finally the year for the Swedes… Unlike some in this thread, I can easily cheer for Canada to win the tournament while “adopting” a secondary team with a bunch of prized Canucks prospects on it. The amount of pearl-clutching on this subject in this thread has been hilarious to read. 2 1

DeNiro
Sweden hadn’t given up a goal until this game. Pretty impressive stuff, especially from Pettersson and Willander. This was Finlands gold medal game make no mistake. 2 1
Locke Lamora
As someone else said somewhere earlier, there’s your top D pair for Sweden….Lindstein and Willander. Have not been on the ice for an even strength goal against, while providing plenty of offensive support. 1

He’s going to be a heck of an NHLer.

He threw the occasional big hit but kind of shied away from the rough stuff. If he can be a Mattias Ekholm like player I’ll be very happy.

They bring the best out of both of them.
