After he won the draw he completely blew the zone. There was no reason for him to do that. He should have hovered around the blue line waiting for an outlet and provided support. He left the dmen outnumber with no outlet option. He wanted offence and the goal was scored by the exact player Miller was supposed to cover. Love the guy, but it was a really bad play on his part. pointing fingers is loser behaviour. it's a team game. mistakes happen. don't eat your own. 1 2 1

On pace for 113 points, which would be the 2nd best regular season total in franchise history. Astounding to think this could come off an 83-point season. A 30-point jump in points would be among the largest this team has ever seen. We had an 18-point jump from Torts to Willie D in 2014-15 and that felt huge. We had a 25 point increase from 58 points to 83 points from 1998-99 to 1999-00. I'm fairly certain that the highest single-season increase is from 1990-91 to 1991-92 from 65 to 96 points--a 31-point increase. It's worth noting that points were harder to come by in this era, so 31 points back then is more impressive than 31 points in today's game. These kinds of rebound seasons only happen about once every 20-30 years for most teams. Enjoy it, folks. And here it is..... bravo 1

We lost Tanev and Markstrom to UFA by keeping them for playoffs. I don't see us trading our pending UFAs this tdl either. Thats Cole Lafferty Joshua Myers, Bleuger. Zadorov DeSmith. They all play a major role on this team. This management team isn't the rookie Benning era. Rutherford knows we aren't in the position to let assets walk for nothing. We aren't a perennial contender yet, our window is just opening up. Those picks are too valuable not to collect. We will need them when we are ready to go all in. IMO Joshua and Lafferty are 100% gone if they continue to play the way they have. This team can't afford to pay them each 2.5-3 million to play in the bottom 6. If they continue their play, both could fetch 3rd rounders. Joshua maybe even a 2nd. The good thing is Bains/Raty/Karlsson and Podkolzin are close on the farm and would come in under 1 mill. Myers is another who will be traded for a 2nd rounder. Then Allvin will take that asset, attach another for a defencemen he wants here long term. They will re-sign both DeSmith and Zad. Blueger and Cole will stay bc they signed here as UFA's for one season.

When it was 2-2, I would have been ok with an OTL. that changed though when Garland scored with less than 5 min left. We had to lock it down for 5 min and to our credit, we've been great at locking games down but today, there were too many errors. Error 1- RT for putting Myers and Cole out together on a defensive zone draw. Error 2- Cole panicking with the puck and ringing it around the boards when Joshua didn't have time to get there Error 3- Miller also blowing the zone as the puck is getting rung around Error 4- Petey losing possession in OT deciding to go 1 v 2 behind their net Error 5- Petey making a bad decision to force a turnover and getting caught on a 3v2 Error 6- missing a 2on 0 Error 7- long shift followed by a bad change giving stars a partial breakaway to end it in OT with 15 seconds left. All of that happened in a short period of time and we lost the game as a result. It feels crappy because we competed hard all game Error one and two I can get behind as coaching errors. Cole was having a bad game so I don't understand that pairing. I don't know if Zads was just on and gassed? But should of been Myers and Zads out there. When I was training traditional Okinawan Karate I read a lot of books about it's origin. The word Karate translates to Empty Hand. It comes from a time during a weapons prohibition in Okinawa. The people there saved their culture by fighting for survival without access to proper weapons. Many teachers talked about their different students...they put them into two categories, masters and specialists. To become a master you have to be good in all aspects ... It is a longer road and not everyone can achieve it. In hockey terms, players like Miller are showing that potential. They can perform well in many different senarios, have many talents etc... Most people have a hard time getting that balance. It should be always strived for however they can be very successful leaning into the traits that they can achieve. These are the specialists. They can become world champs, they can be the best warrior on the battle field. If they know themselves and are deployed correctly they can be great. I guess I am trying to show my view on team builds. If you get me? yep that makes perfect sense. I don't think Tocc is trying to recreate a bunch of mini-Tocc's. He has shown flexibility with other player styles. I do think he believes he's working to get the most out of Kuzy... and so we'll see soon if he was right. It sucks seeing some of our favourite personalities get the hard love treatment, as we've seen relationships go to shit too many times. Dunno, right now I've got some faith that everyone has agreed on a plan and are working it. 1

snowman955
After reading previous posts l have a little redirect answers. First one was local media. Sorry this is country wide including USA media. They have nothing logical to say about our Nucks because they are in disbelief. The Miller fiasco in not applicable, it's team ! Kuz ,granted 2nd year , is on every teams radar. Rick is doing Rick tough love. Until Kuz realizes he is a target from his previous year. Rick will do what needs to wake Kuz up to adjust. Everyone knows he is not an everyday North American 200 foot player. Rick's working on that. Our team is now in the Era of minor tweaks to become a major pain to play against. The building of what we have today has exceed all of our expectations. Our pipeline has been replenished. Which now gives us a better idea of who's next. Yes ,we are unique here. CFF has allowed us all to air our opinions. I thank those involved.

Hard to find guys like him. Easier to find a Lafferty than a Joshua. If anything, I hope we trade Cole and upgrade to a legit 3D and pair him with Z and then have Myers and Soucy as the 3rd pairing but cap wise, it might not work which means we might need to keep Cole and trade Myers.
