Most people have a hard time getting that balance. It should be always strived for however they can be very successful leaning into the traits that they can achieve. These are the specialists. They can become world champs, they can be the best warrior on the battle field. If they know themselves and are deployed correctly they can be great.

Or he could have held on to puck and not put it softly up the boards at all.. he mis judges and made a turn over.. 

The tying goal was 100% Miller's fault. After he won the draw he completely blew the zone. There was no reason for him to do that. He should have hovered around the blue line waiting for an outlet and provided support.

He left the dmen outnumber with no outlet option. He wanted offence and the goal was scored by the exact player Miller was supposed to cover.

Love the guy, but it was a really bad play on his part.

Wow, how expectations have changed for this team. They get a point to move to the top of the NHL standings at the end of a tough road trip right before Xmas, and... it felt disappointing. Crazy. Last year I would have been over the moon to end the year with a road trip like that!

 

While the Canucks aren't bringing their A-game every night (because no team can do that), the structure and discipline that the coaching staff have instilled is keeping them in nearly every single game they play. I can probably count on one hand the number of games this season where the Canucks looked like they really had no chance to win. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season after a good Xmas break. I think they are only going to get better!

Its not a question of whether he can score a lot more than a few of the 4th line players, but if the opposition scores regularly, when he is on the ice, because he drops his assignment, it becomes an issue...

They are working with Kuz, to get the best out of him, at that is far more than the mop here would ever do...

I see a lot of folk complaining he isn't jin the line up, but wonder if they are the same that complains and jumps on players, when they miss their assignment or get scored on?

 

We are really lucky at the moment, we have so many decent players, we can afford to work with Kuz.

As you rightly say, if they can figure it out, we'll get an even better Kuz. If not, he'll be history....

We had a 25 point increase from 58 points to 83 points from 1998-99 to 1999-00.

 

I'm fairly certain that the highest single-season increase is from 1990-91 to 1991-92 from 65 to 96 points--a 31-point increase. It's worth noting that points were harder to come by in this era, so 31 points back then is more impressive than 31 points in today's game.

 

These kinds of rebound seasons only happen about once every 20-30 years for most teams. Enjoy it, folks.

We're going to need Sidney Powell to head the committee to look into voter fraud.

 

And he's not doing it as a result of Demko stealing a ton of games for us.

Those other clubs had old core players and squeezed out more points on their decline. Similar to the Kings right now. This club’s core is young and on the rise. The supporting cast has been upgraded a lot. Our core will be elite for many more years.

All of the sudden, the fan base are experts at telepathy and knowing how a person feels.  I saw JT smash his stick in half yesterday.  You think he wants to leave the team?  These are competitive pros who expects high performance of themselves.  What they show to the public means very little.

 

If he wants out, he will leave.  If winning is what he wants, he'll see what the team is.  A playoff run will be important.  He's not going anywhere yet and team doesn't need to sign him right away.

If you look at Kuzmenko's summer training, it was more of what he wanted and how he wanted to do things rather than what the team thought was best. There was a bit of a clash there between him and the organization. 

 

This could all be still a ripple effect from that.

This is a really cool Chat forum… It’s kind of cool how we’re all kind of bonded and united through our love for this hockey team… And yeah we come from different families backgrounds ethnic groups Occupations careers genders…religions or non-… But we all have this one thing in common that we really really want them to succeed and yeah it’s kind of fun actually…

Yes Miller looked for a quick break out. But Cole did not need to make the play to turn over the puck.

 

The turn over caused the goal. Cole had possession and had time. 

 

I agree with a 1 goal lead Miller didn't need to break out but that's a read he made and wanted a hard break out pass from Cole.

 

Either Cole makes a hard pass up the boards to Miller or he holds the puck. The worst thing to do was turn over the puck.

yeah, this is my feeling as well. the trip to bali is where the fissure started. toc wanted the players to take this off season extremely seriously and I think he felt that kuzy (and joshua) didn't hold up their ends of things.
