I've been thinking if they maintain a top 3-5 record in the NHL come TDL (which is totally possible if not likely imo), they gotta add a legit Top 4D and/or Top 6 F to give this team a legit shot to win the cup. With so many UFAs who knows what the supporting cast will look like next yr & beyond, right. As a previous poster in another thread picked 10 games from the remaining Canucks schedule as benchmarks and whether 'Nucks will finish in the top echelon of the league, here are the games I think will decide whether Coilers make it to the playoffs or not Canucks - we play them once more ... Magic 8-ball predicts a drubbing by the Canucks to sink the last flicker of hope Coilers had to make the playoffs Vegas twice - probably a split but I will cheer for the Knights to sweep these games Dallas twice - most likely a split LA three times - here will be the toughest stretch and probably a must win series for the Oilers Boston once - a scheduled loss for the Oilers TO once - hard to cheer for either and grumpy cat hopes both will lose ... toss up on this one and depends on what goalie shows up for either team. What is the math ? How far above .500 do they have to play ? I think it's 50/50. A key injury would do them in.
