The story was written within the last few days. The quote you provided says nothing about Benning. The last 5 years includes the current management. But for the sake of argument maybe Courtnall was implying the JB era.

Canucks are in first place 

so many great story lines but you feel that they even have another gear once:

 

1. Petey steps it up even more as he has shown at times.

 

2. Soucy comes back and we see what our D corps looks like 

 

3. Kuzy steps it up 

 

while we are in first the next step is to beat teams like LA VG BOS COL TOR…

We beat those teams in a seven series.

We can maybe get some problems going seven games against two of LA, VG or Bos in a row.
