I didn’t say I wanted him to die. However, he’s gotta be up there in age and has been in poor health for a while. I would miss him dearly.

NEW YORK -  

Norman Jewison, the acclaimed and versatile Canadian-born director whose Hollywood films ranged from Doris Day comedies and “Moonstruck” to social dramas such as the Oscar-winning "In the Heat of the Night," has died at age 97.

Jewison, a three-time Oscar nominee who in 1999 received an Academy Award for lifetime achievement, died “peacefully” Saturday, according to publicist Jeff Sanderson.

My late Uncle was a huge Cards fan because of Stan the Man! Think if those guys played in todays game, what a blast. All those pitchers from that era threw 9 inning complete games on 4 days rest. They were horses.
