Mik - Petey - Stamkos

Guentzel - Miller - Boeser

Go all in while the west is so wide open. I’m ready to be hurt.

Funny as I was contemplating this very idea -- Stankos for ??? (Kuz) ... this morning during my morning ritual. Guetz is a pipe dream and if I was banging the bong that hard I would dream ... Miller - Crosby - Boeser and Mik - Petey - Buk (from St Louis). All kidding aside, with that 1A and 1B forward line and the rest of the team, I would bet Aqualini's left nut we win the Cup this year - Chaos Giraffe random brain farts included.

great teams don't play that way they shut it down defensively but I am happy that they got the big lead early because it allowed the coach to spread the mins before going out on the road.

We are a great club. Vegas and Kings are falling back.

Its the scouting department that deserves the credit. Everyone loves to suck off Judd Brackett for “his” picks, but then pin JV and OJ solely on JB. Why not the scouting department? Why is it JB solely blamed for picks that fail, but anyone who is a star goes to the credit of the scout.

Maybe because it is stated that Benning overrided his scouts.

You don’t hear Allvin take over the picking…

The Pens aren't giving up on one of the few solid players under 25.

And how to propose to fit all this under the cap?

What are you giving up?

If it's Gretzky, good lol

He was part of the Coyotes ownership group that drove that team into bankruptcy. No thanks. The Aquamen are great owners, so long as they keep out of the operations, which they seem to be doing….for now, with JR here.

Just look at the schedule first they are headed on a 7 game road trip which for sure they will take loses to NJ, NYR and NYI. The NYI because that's the back end of a back to back. Their going to be tired when they get into Pit so that looks like lose. STL looks like they can win that one but they should be careful. Buff and CBJ look like wins but they are going to lose one for sure because well that what the Canucks do against bad teams. Pho is going to be a dog fight when they get home. Tor is going to roll right over them offensively I expect high scoring game 6-4 Canucks. Then it is Chi, STL and CBJ all three teams the Canucks should win but they will lose 1.

In defense of Gretzky, he was a bit hamstrung and trotted out as more of an icon for the franchise than a power behind the throne. Is he a great player - YES! Is he a good coach - debatable with what he was given to work with (jury is out and I ... more later if need be) ... does he know hockey - Fuck Ya ... could he help the Canucks as a coach or in any sort of position - Fuck yes! Until he proved he couldn't.

Yeah who knows how it shakes down if it happens a different way.  With our current positioning it’s silly to play the hindsight game too much.

Juolevi didn’t get us anywhere near 5OA value… but we did get Juulsen for him.  Who I think we’re starting to see a lot more value in these days.

If you look at what OJ got us for value, look at 2 guys ahead of him. PLD and Puljujarvi. PLD is an arrogant entitled dickhead thats a borderline bust, Pooparty is a bust. We werent the only ones who lost out in the top 5.

2014

- 4OA Bennett

- 5OA MDC

- 6OA JV
- 7OA Fleury

2015

- 3OA Strome - meh

- 5OA Hanifin - liability

- 6OA Zacha

2016

- 3OA Princess Large Douche

- 4OA Pooparty

- 5OA OJ

2017

- 2OA Patrick

- 6OA Glass

- 7OA Andersson

2018

- 3OA Kotkaniemi

- 5OA Hayton

- 6OA Zadina

2019

- 2OA Kaakko

- 3OA Dach

- 4OA Byram (major health concerns)

- 5OA Turcotte

2020

- 1OA Lafrieniere

people need to get a grip on reality and realize there are so many busts or failures to live up to their potential all in the same draft positions JB had. To believe we wouldnt have at least one miss is ridiculous. We coulda selected a player above JV or OJ and missed just as bad.

Guentzel ain't young anymore.  He's 29 only a year younger than Miller.  If that happens, probably a walk or two after the season, but that would be a pipe dream for this year lol.

Sorry I think my trifocals aren't reading properly on capfriendly.

Still can't see how they can trade for both. Unless we're mortaging our future for one run.

Which is exactly why it’s important, during a rebuild, to add second and third round picks. Benning traded those much needed picks away. Those are the picks needed to have important players come from to cover for the high picks missed. Benning was a failure.

OK, it is official ... @CanuckFanForever is a bot .. or a bot fly ... either way, needs to be swatted. Unless of course the members here prefer arguing with AI.

I hope I'm actually wrong but Jan looks brutal for them and it isn't that the Schedule is all that brutal it is that the Canucks just seem to do it to themselves and the will justify it with excuse "we were tired".

"A bot is a software application that is programmed to do certain tasks. Bots are automated, which means they run according to their instructions without a human user needing to manually start them up every time. Bots often imitate or replace a human user's behavior. Typically they do repetitive tasks, and they can do them much faster than human users could."
