Where have we been last 10 yrs in standings? 1
Wiggums
With Lekkerimaki looking great and Willander/D-Petey looking good I could see our first rounder on the table for sure
-Buzzsaw-
35 minutes ago, Randy Marsh said: Nah. Kuzy was playing in the KHL his whole career. "Score goals" was all they ever asked of him, but there are still aspects of the NHL game he needs to learn to stay in the line up. Tocchet et al. know what they are doing. "Tanking value" is not their concern... nor should it be. If they are icing guys like Karlsson and Aman it's because they've shown they can do the job at a more consistent basis than others, whether Kuzy or anyone else. 'Show you can do the job and you get rewarded.' The way it should be on any good team. Bullsh*t. Aman screwed up on his coverage of Thomas... left him open and let him score the winning goal. Karlsson was on the ice at the same time. Kuzmenko has 19 more points than Karlsson and 15 more than Aman.

That period was evaluation and identifying the passengers and those who have issues. That is what led to this and how we wind up here. 24K
I honestly think Toch just have beef with Kuz over the fact he went to Bali over the summer after he pretty much threatens the players to stay in Van.
sxqhfeh
I totally understand Toc's decision about Kuzy sitting for Karlsson in this 2-1 game... in case some of you guys have some short memory ... Our offense showed no sign of slowing down after putting up 6 vs Sens. Blues usually play a stringy, physical game which is not Kuzy's strong point. On paper it makes more sense to put in someone that's more willing to go into corners and get into puck battles. Obviously not a fantastic showing from Karlsson but I don't think he was that bad and I definitely don't think Kuzmenko was the missing answer in this game either. 1

The NJD will rip us a new one if we play like that again. Put Kuzmenko back in the line up and LEAVE him there for more than 1-2 games. Canucks need to look for a 2nd line center. Throw Petterson on the wing. Guy can’t win a faceoff to save his life. Boeser Miller Petey Mikheyev NEW GUY Kuzmenko Joshua Bluegar Garland Lafferty Sutr Hoglander OR put Juulsen on the 4th line when Soucy comes back. This team needs some more bite. .............wait a minute, I thought he was an "Elite" center? No? 1

wai_lai416
now that they kinda figured out the defence.. can we figure out the top 6?? the lack of talent on the top 6 is so obvious but we only care about the defence.. we have Miller Boeser EP.. and then we have mikheyev career high 32 points.. laffety 27 points... suter 36 points.. PDG 17 points.. and kuzmenko in the pressbox.. do any of those scream top 6 to you?? your supposively top scoring line the EP line doesn't even have a player that have more than 40 points in a season in their career... we are probably one of the few teams in this league that can't even ice 3 productive forward on 1 line outside the tankers. 1

Philly was a bust, Ottawa was a ton of lucky bounces, then lazy, disorganized hockey, and tonight our stars again didn't show up. The 3rd line is the only consistent hard working line, and tonight even the 4th line outworked the top two. Tocchet has his work cut out for him if we're going to survive this road trip with a few wins. With all the talent we have, we can still be playoff contenders, but it's going to take a whole team hardworking effort. Haven't seen this for awhile now. 1

Garland same reason why he sucks when he's with miller and pettersson.. he plays with the puck way too much and pretends to be the playdriver of the line.. Miller and EP does not play well without the puck and garland holds the puck too much.. that's why he's working fine on the 3rd because the other 2 doesn't need the puck. Gurn
Meanwhile Bo Horvat is a plus 8 with 35 points in 36 games. He'd be a good 2nd line center.

Elias Pettersson
26 minutes ago, Miss Korea said: Based off what you're saying, we need to trade for a top six forward. Won't come cheap. I still don't get why Höglander hasn't had a few shifts with Pettersson. I know he hasn't really earned but it's worked a couple times in the past. Just try it and if it doesn't work, oh well. Has to be better than this, right? It’s pretty obvious we need another top 6 forward, especially if Kuzmenko is in the press box. We aren’t winning anything with Lafferty in the top 6. I don’t believe that Höglander is a top 6 player. He’s a tweener than doesn’t fit any line. That’s why Tocchet keeps moving him around. I would use him as a trade chip for a legit top 6 forward. Imagine if Jake Guentzel was playing with Petey? This team would look completely different. Lafferty is totally fine on the 4th line playing with Suter. It strengthens our 4th line. Having those guys in the top 6 not only weakens our top 6 but it also weakens our 4th line. Adding a guy like Guentzel puts other players in their proper place. It would make us a 4 line team… 1 1
