If the devils are out by the deadline. I wouldn’t mind bringing Toffoli back. He’s on an expiring contract. Bring him back and play him with Petey on the 2nd line.

Why??? So we can hear more whining about losing players like the almighty Tyler Madden🤣

joking aside he would be a decent pick up.

Disappointed in Kuzmenko.  His primary asset is his shot, scoring goals, and right now it appears he's treating the puck like it was a grenade and wanting nothing to do with it - trying to dish it off whenever it gets near him. Totally lost any confidence he had and the end result is he's not providing any value to the team right now, and with a $5.5MM cap hit this year and next that's concerning.

Last year was all about securing the bag.  Celebrate your 2 year\11 mill deal with a vaca to Bahli. I get it, but he needs to get back to working hard. I'm disappointed too

Lindholm - Probably available

Jenner - Doubt it, but ya never know

Eriksson Ek - Also doubt it

Monahan - Likely available

Stamkos - Last year on contract, if they are out of it by then he might want to go for it as a rental

My best guess would be Monahan.

If we can get Jenner or Lindholm, that would be amazing.

One thing though, None of our 2023 prospects should be on the trade block.

For the first time we're shoring up a historically weak position, and Management seems to hit home runs with Bz, and Willander.

Lek and/ or our 1st is the most we should be giving up.

Where are all the people who said this was an impossible game to win? 😎

I actually said “they may get bitch slapped tonight” but I also said “if they win I will be absolutely impressed” and “winning will show their character”. Ok the last quote I made up but still….

So ... we're legit now ... right?

Ya with the quality of defence, goal tending and forwards we have - as well as high level management, coaching and scouting staffs - this is a legit team on the rise - the wait has been worth it

Nice to see Petey and Brock together again, you can tell they love playing together. I agree keeping the lotto line together doesn’t make sense long term, but knowing we have an ace up the sleeve if a game is ever going wrong is a pretty satisfying feeling.

I believe that PA / JR are working on a solution to make this more than a casual option. So far most of their moves have been stellar or at least exceeded expectations. My evidence is the Canucks knocking on Heaven's Door (President's Trophy) at this, the almost halfway point of the season. There must be a GM out there that can be fleeced a bit so I would expect some money out one door and a player money in another with pieces added on both sides of the equation to make it work.

If right now the transaction was 2024 1st, 2nd and a 3rd plus 2 A-prospects for a couple of rentals in exchange with a date in the SCF against one of Toronto / NYR / Boston / <insert your favorite opponent> I would hazard a guess no one says no ... but then that is why we don't get pay the big bucks to make those decisions given no one has a crystal ball. However, we do pay the bucks to support the team so in a way we are part of the equation.

Damn this team is gelling more and more each day and it does smell like a piece or two away from a date to caress Lord Stanley's cup before playing to win it.

We finally see what this defence is like when all of them are healthy.

Man what a solid group we have

And have some great pieces in the press box that can step in when needed ... looking at you Donkey. Tocchet really likes Jewels and how far he has come in the 25 or so games he slotted in. That bodes well for the D when you have Jewels and Fried Green Tomatoes in the press box while options exist in Abby to call up if for some reason half the D corps suddenly went on IR all at once.

Already 40 games but the team being so good is still unreal to me.

I don't remember the last time I am so enjoying a season like that.

I'm having a hard time accepting that this team is really good. So many years of disappointments... but this year feels different. I'm never worried if the other team scores first or makes a big push... we almost always seem to have an answer. This team has some swagger and I think they will make noise in the playoffs. I can't wait!

I do, when I bet a friend of mine during the 2010-2011 season where I took the Canucks every game and he took whoever they were playing at $100 a game - he was a Boston fan and I caught him at a weak moment. Then in the finals I took the Canucks and he took everyone else at $500 a series ... got paid after the dreaded game 7 (we all know that one) and went to the casino with said friend. Blackjack was my friend that night, LOL, at least softened the sting a bit.

This season is shaping up to be a great one based on expectations going into the season being nowhere near where we are now. After the last decade or so, what a time to be a Canucks fan ... we have suffered some lean years, so lets enjoy this to the fullest.

GO CANUCKS GO.
