In Canada the only impact is the military. The oath taken requires among other things that the recruit verbally renounce all other citizenships. I was dual us \ Canada when I enlisted in the 80's and asked why ? Response was so that you can't get another country's passport while you serve. They don't need a soldier deserting in another country and use a different passport to seek refuge ..... So yeah Leipsic is a pretty awful person no denying that. I've never been to Russia but from what I understand, crappy government aside, it's quite nice. Especially since he plays for St. Petersburg which is one of the nicer Russian cities. Plus it's just a boat ride from Helsinki and Tallin which isn't too bad as well.
