OMG Cold! Thread

Recommended Posts

Was listening to the radio..

People were texting in because one of the dudes was saying the coldest he had been in was -10 and he hated it.

The texts were ripping him, his co-hosts were doing the same.

Isn't that weird? seems kinda like...

If my wife stubs her toe and is complaining about the pain.

I don't say " yeah, well. In grade 7, a kid named Troy beat the snot out of me...hurt way worse!"

I hate the people walking around in shorts.

Haha yea that is me in Van. When I lived there shorts always. Other than one offs, temps just don't warrant pants especially in the rain.

Nothing worse than wet pants.

It’s the wind chill.

That’s what’s getting most people.

Definitely is the wind chill. I went to step outside for a breath of fresh air. Literally outside for 2 seconds, said fuck this and went back inside.

I was up at 4am and I can attest that the wind chill was the proverbial witch’s tit in Vancouver.

A dusting of snow in Vancouver. But the roads and alleyways look like ice rinks.

Was -25 when I woke up this morning.

Yeah, was about -13 here this morning. We had a light dusting yesterday afternoon, but it was very little. Call me a child if you want, but I still love the wonder and beauty of snow.

Gotta be those big fluffy flakes, that packs well to make snow goons and snow balls.

One thing I love about snow is how quiet it makes the world.

Less people out and snow 'traps' noise like sound baffling.

I especially love how beautiful it looks at night. Brightens up the whole world despite how dark it usually would be.

My favourite part as well.

Nature’s sound dampener.

With all the noise in our world right now on a daily basis, snow quiets things down.

I appreciate that one part.
