hockeyfan-observer Posted January 14 Share Posted January 14 Happy with the tight victory today against a Buffalo team that has talent, but has had a bad start this year. It's good the Canucks continue getting points as the Oilers and Kraken don't seem to be letting up anytime soon - and have almost caught up to LA after their big lead in the first 30 games. Not too much to complain about on this trip but hoping to see a little more continued scoring from the other lines (like Lafferty today) especially from Kuzmenko who should have quite a few more goals. Whether it is hockey down the stretch or in the playoffs, almost every successful team has that 3rd-4th line presence that can make a difference, scoring a key goal when the stars of both teams cancel out. Additional congrats to the Canuck players that made the All Star Ballot + game. I knew that they were better than they’ve showed over the past 2 seasons but I didn’t expect them to be able to have half a season like this. This team is for real! We have excellent depth, goaltending and loads of high end talent. The decision to move on from Horvat in favour of Miller was absolutely paying us back in full. I felt someone to push back on whomever that was (Greenway maybe) and either try to get him to go or send a message to him that it's not okay (same way Power and Johnson did to Miller) when he hit Dahlin.
