canuck73
Considering Lou is looking to retire soon it should fit Roy's plans of being GM/Coach

Coryberg
Not sure if anyone saw it but the islanders lost a game to the preds a week or so ago. Got scored on with a few seconds left. Lambert, his staff and all the players on the bench (besides Bo) walked down the tunnel and left the 5 guys on the ice to finish up. Kinda figured Lou would be making a change when I saw that. Surprised Horvat wasn’t lobbying for Boudreau, so he can pad his stats again. Why? It's not a contract year.
flat land fish
This would be called the Ricky Bobby maneuver, no more mushy middle either First or Last.

He's 81 now and still full of piss and vinegar. I'll believe it when I see it. Edited January 20 by Crabcakes

Elias Pettersson
How many coaches has BO gotten fired now? 3
Shekky
Drop down to 11th in the east after they made it up to 6th or something. Not too surprising for me honestly. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

He did a video the other day on coaches in the hot seat, and Lambert was listed....
Jess
I do wonder if Roy's coaching style will last in today's NHL. Is he a tough love kind of guy like Torts or is he too old school like Babs?

Elias Pettersson
The Islanders are a one line team with one Dman who can put up points. Not sure how far they will get even with Roy. They blew their load on BO so they don’t have much cap room either. Edited January 20 by Elias Pettersson

Jack Fig
As others have said, a cranky sod like Roy is good for the league. He plays to win, which you have to respect. But he is a jerk.
