Given Tavares a captain of leafs, it's probably best he didn't get KOed.   The league is gonna suspend Myers for a long time.

TO was chippy as hell. They instigated a lot of the scuffling. Especially 2 on 1 there.

What's a bit strange is that Nux hasn't played a single game vs LAK or WPG yet and majority of games vs VGK, both top division and conference rivals.  Also majority of games vs Avs left. Luckily, Nux swept the oils when they sucked.   The last games in Edmonton and Winnipeg will likely have significant impact on playoff seeding.  Fun times right to the end of the season.

Can't wait for playoffs.

This is a good thing, to ramp up like they did vs NY teams on the road. They need the challenge that goes with these important games. This is going to be fun!

It's more than 10 games.  JP meant it's 3 vs WPG and 3 vs VGK etc.  So that's 17 games.

Maybe that is the reason why they are still in the running.... they didn't get demoralized by the Canucks yet... their time is gonna come. So glad we get to put the Coilers back on a losing streak right going into the playoffs.

They still think we're a soft team, but they'll learn quickly that our team is big, mean, and nasty when we need to be.

It seems like when they can’t outwork us and we match their skill they play dirty and try and rope us into retaliatory penalties.

Thankfully our players have played it pretty smart for the most part and our pk has stepped up when we need it.

the book on the canucks forever has been that they'll wilt if pressed physically.

this year it's like watching teams try to intimidate a runaway freight train.

best stay off the tracks.

Toronto goes on to play the Kraken in a back to back too.

Will be interesting to see if the Leafs even make the playoffs this year.  They are not making it easy on themselves.

I hope they do.

Another first round exit will be fun.

I think Taco has coached them about bad penalties. Their coaching has been great, Foote, Gonchar, Tocchet etc all know about bad penalties. We're wiser for it.

But I think its also important to know, when we take a penalty its because we put THE HURT on the other team. Not some bullshit hooking or holding penalty.

These Penalties are worth killing.

The team knows it and they are killing them.

Keep taking penalties for roughing, boarding, smashing. they are worth every second of PK

After the Kraken they have a home-and-home series against the Winnipeg Jets...they could be outside the playoffs before the All-star break.

Can you imagine the Media shit storm over the All star break in Toronto if that happens?

Keefe might need some Zanex. LOL

Hogs had a beautiful battle with Gio along the boards. Hogs wasn't backing down! Hogs going toe to toe with a gnarly old vet. Gio was frustrated by Hoggy. Man Coach Tocc did some wonderful work reshaping Hogs game. (Take note Kuz)

I was so excited when he had his first stint, and then worried as his play suffered.

What an awesome turnaround, as it is sure nice to have a honey badger type on the team again.

Yeah, but all the media will go on about is how the break will give them the opportunity to turn it all around.

It's great watching the Leafs fall in the spring. Having them start in winter is icing on the cake!

Out of 33 games we would have the following bottom teams...

Blackhawks

Wild

Ducks x2

Sabres

Habs

The rest will be against teams in the playoff picture or chasing playoff picture. Buckle up it's gonna get interesting after all star break

My guess is that the Nucks will likely beat the teams that will not stand up in a race to

make the playoffs, such as: Blues, Jackets, (2) Coyotes, as well as, probable wins over Kraken,

and 1 or both of Flames (they will start trading away players and tanking).

Including the 6 teams you have already established, that makes 13 out of 33 games.

Of course, there are no sure wins in the NHL, but that also includes the remaining

'higher end teams' that the Nucks will play during the remaining games.

Not saying it's going to be easy, but if the Canucks keep playing the way they have and

improve on their consistency, they will do well in the POs.

we are just lucky you don't get a penalty for slap shots aimed at someone blocking....

If you thought Steve Dangle posted a tirade about the leafs loss last night,

He might have a stroke on camera if the Leafs are outside the playoffs by the All Stat break. LOL

Christ, give it a rest.  Myers has been solid all year.

No he hasn't. He's had some serious blunders that have cost the team. This year's he's at least been better than last year.

When he's on, he's on. When he's not.....look out, he'll cost us.

I mean, this is a good example of a WTF Myers moment. Not only did it cost us a goal, it could've cost us Petey.

He is "solid" and shouldn't be throwing himself on top of our star players.

The only reason we notice and remember Myers' mistakes is because of his Cap hit and contract. That is soon fixed.

But I have seen many others make mistakes that get overlooked.... even Miller Deb (sorry for swearing)

But Soucy tipped that Leafs shot perfectly on demko last night, no one complains. Demko would have had a better chance on a breakaway.

That sucks. Hemingway's usually has a pretty good hockey crowd. And the Moose is a great place too. They had/have a room downstairs where I've watched some great bands.

Good to know. I'm close to Hemingway's as well. But I think Brass Rail would've been the best 🤣
