Optimist Prime
14 minutes ago, SilentSam said: it’s always been my understanding Bouds, and this is from the mouths of 3 cousins who were lifetime SAS commandos from the UK.. that Canadian troop numbers are essentially smaller than other countries,. but what they bring is an extremely well rounded , highly trained troops in a more Elite roll. That being JTF2 , but sister to that is CSOR which would support the Tier 1 group closely. Many train around the world with and for other countries,. Where we are highly regarded. Thanks for that tidbit. My buddy Jamie was formerly the CO of the Canadian Special Operations Regiment, or CSOR. I am a bit biased but I have heard it from Yankee Generals and British SAS operators and everyone in between that Canadian bodies, while in short supply, are routinely the most well rounded, better trained, and more intelligent assets at these training excercises. Where an american driver just drives and can't operate the machine gun, a Canadian driver is also a gunner, is also a first responder/medic and can operate the direction finding equipment and radio. My hyperbole is a little over the top, but I am parroting other nations troops compliments towards us.

Canuck Surfer
13 hours ago, SilentSam said: hey Surfer , Yes ,. Of course, I was just stating the possibility that Putin may have created the scenario to sabre rattle to the West. some in that thread are used to those scenarios. The situation in Belgrod is also something Putin is capable of creating an opposing outlook on too. He has stymied the safe evacuation there and creating a wall of protection with RuZ citizens. He could easily slaughter them and blame it on opposing forces spearheading into RUZ He is capable of doing whatever he wants, trying to create “reasonable doubt” in anything he does. I was kinda hoping the signal jamming that you reported impacting cruise missiles? Was the reason the submarine missile tube jammed with a faulty cruise missile launch! Also the reason the sub was sinking, or at least evacuating seamen & under distress. I would not put any false flag past Putin. I more sincerely hope that all progress in Belgorod is 100% real instead. Its being pretty widely reported Worldwide as the Russian dissident forces already combatting Putin. That false flag possibility of them obliterating Russian citizens would only by for Russian domestic consumption? Blocking evacuation routes? I guess less refugee's streaming to Moscow must look to him better during an election... I have no idea. He's a nutbag!

No oil, gas, diesel, or jet fuel will severely compromise Russia's ability to continue to fight this war they started. Ukraine will have to come up with a way to hit refineries farther afield in the Eastern parts of Russia to really put the screws to them though. So it may increase asian pricing. I don't think it will have much of an effect on us though.
