Its about tactics. They have an advantage in organizational deployment and overall moral when they are properly equipped. I would hate to see this conflict expand to where we are deploying troops from other countries, but I don't think we are far from that. If we don't give them what they need now, we are leaving the door open for China to go after Taiwan as soon as the US starts committing real manpower to the Ukraine.
