The first red line concerns direct or indirect interference in the war against #Ukraine by a third party. It is primarily about participation in the invasion from the north of Belarus. All the west had to do was send an ultimatum to Putin saying that their ground forces would enter Ukraine on a certain date. Only enough time for the Russians to organize a withdrawal. Most of the world recognize the Russian invasion as a brutal exhibition of naked imperialism. There is no ethical rational for western allies to sit on the sidelines. It is not even a case of altruism if they acted. It is in western military and economic interest to preserve Ukraine. It takes gonads and unfortunately there is not much in that department in the west.
