The Russia/Ukraine War Thread

At one point I thought there were enough Russians who would stop Putin somehow. Maybe they have all fallen from high places. When Russia first invaded Ukraine there were special squads that had lists of Ukrainians they wanted to arrest/interrogate. One has to assume the same exists inside Russia. Do we give up on the idea that some form of resistance exists inside Russia that will ultimately rid themselves of Putin and his gang. Perhaps the idea is a wishful thinking fantasy. It is not a question of simply removing Putin or even killing him. There are many Putins inside Russia society. It does not appear that change will happen without serious long term restructuring inside Russia.

Russians play the nuclear arms threat because it has worked so well for them over many years. Would those capable of using those weapons actually do so? Why would they unless they were faced with physical violence or a threat to their existence? NATO is becoming more involved with Ukraine but Russian hopes that genie can be rebottled is a losing one. Can Russia accept Ukraine as part of NATO and a EU member? Can Putin extradite Russia from Ukraine and still retain his position? For the reason above he can likely survive. If that is the vision then he won't use nukes. Ukraine recovers the pre-2014 boundaries then what? Crimea recovered, then what?

He won’t retreat Bouds ,

it would show his weakness,.  And will expose his lies.

He has done poorly over 500,000 troops lost .

He can not retreat , it ensures  a collapse.

it’s something about ego centrics ,  Hitler was the same ..   their minds are fantasizing about the power and control they have over others they feed lies to.

The use of propoganda, as Hitler did.

it makes them even feel more powerful.

     God complex.

If we can look at anything from history to realize how to stop his terror, and war mongering..

                  A trap is needed.

Something that will blow up in his face and stop this suddenly.

Again ,  with the amount of loses and little advancements ..   I think he will use a nuclear (tactical) weapon devised of a smaller scale out of frustration,

just to see what reaction he gets from the rest of the World .

He thinks west is weak .

Thats when the rest of the World answers back, and every RuZ Millitary target is destroyed in a matter of hours or days.

( not necessarily a nuclear response)

But one which darkens his skies for a week to a month.

This long game , with its sanctions,.  Is working to that direction with this type of Terrorist.

He becomes more agitated every week.

He has disposed of Generals to show his power still,  but it weakens his forces.

He is blinded by anger.

The trap itself will be going for the button.

TBH, most of them have fallen from high windows.

At the end of the day, it's just public posturing, more to display a facade of "strength" for the Russians in his domain of propaganda than for the rest of the world.

It’s starting to get interesting,

it’s been relatively quiet this week ,.  Except to realize the UKR has been staging troops into positions on the Northern border.

It seems like UKR has made plans and orders are about to be put into action ?

this might be the start of something big . Or it’s the 2nd step of an already massive move.

Stating the obvious here: but let's hope this is the true tipping point of the war. Given the fact that governments seem to have renewed their support coupled by more long-term deals of support, it's no wonder why Putin's trying to ask for too much while he can. He likely knows his chances of losing territory are high at this point.

read something last night saying they think 1000’s of armoured vehicles are staged waiting for orders.

massive.

When Russian troops surrender, like these guys look like they should do, does Ukraine keep them in Ukraine or are other countries helping with prisoner of war camps?

There are POW camps for RuZ ,

I don’t think I’ve heard where,.  Which is understandable.

Duda goes on to explain that there may be 200 different ethnic groups under that umbrella of “Empire”, and the West recognizes that, and the fact they seek to colonize and represent themselves accordingly.
