See now this is where this should be on the wishlist.  Convoys on highways, in a nice straight line?

Ukraine could be laughing in *BRRRAAAAPPPP* If these were delivered.

Still think it's insanely stupid that the US says these amazing machines are on their way out and effectively done but refuse to give them over to the Ukranian forces who now are apparently turning the tide and have achieved or are achieving air superiority at best, or at the least have neutered russian air defenses to the point they are ineffective

While you and I have bth long spoken of this

I do believe if China did in fact march in to Russia it would be met with  nuclear response.  Ukraine is one thing, a few hundred sq KMs of area taken by Ukraine in response to the russian invasion is another.

But a military superpower marching in to Russia with the clear intent of settlement would without a doubt be met by a nuclear response.

You could be right. The question might be a matter of timing. If Russia was imploding the imperatives in Moscow might not be Siberia. Would we be surprised to see a China/Russia deal that had land given in exchange for ___ ? Desperate conditions make almost anything possible. Bottom line is that Russia will be dealing from weakness and the Chinese one of strength.

What we know is that Russia is not a super power anymore. One of their last deterrence chips is their nukes. The question becomes how and if they can actually use them. Would Russia use nukes in Siberia to counter China knowing the Chinese would retaliate? If the vestiges of power in Moscow were fighting for control it might not be high on their list.

I think the operation to fly a drone into Moscow was just this,.
to see what “heated” up for UKR Intel.

This is that “leap frog” tactic that helps prepare for a larger operation of the right type .

If a slower drone can get to Moscow,  what would an F16 be capable of ?

Kind of funny if Putin's Dachas are actually more well defended than actual important military infrastructure that they need for the war. Even Putin's own priorities have harmed their military power rather than just what was thought of as the military officers being corrupt when siphoning funds.
