I have said for a long time that NATO could/should have put humanitarian aid forces on the ground inside Ukraine. It would be a more aggressive form of deterrence against Russian air strikes inside Ukraine. Massing more forces on the borders of Poland, the Baltics and Finland would also force the Russians to reconsider their Ukrainian adventure. At some point the west has to accept that regime change is the only option to end this conflict. There is legit concern over who might succeed Putin but Ukraine has to survive. Your suggestion that the F-16's enter the conflict in January is the right timeframe IMO. Imagine F-16's over the Asov Sea and the Black Sea. I think it was Zaluzhny who said that the AFU had over 1 million soldiers. More being mobilized. Ukrainian intelligence will know where and how to strike for best effect. Excuse my lack of detail but I read the other day that Latvia has tripled their incomes since the got free from Russia in the '90's.
