Our leader doesn't call the shots.  We're not America he has no power over parliament and is just a figurehead.

we here in this country could offer more,. But.. we have to remember we are ONLY 40 million citizens strong.

compare that to the USA at 400 million,

.. and Europe at 742 million citizens.

 

we have given a lot..   but to realize also that our inventory needs upgrading,  is a chance to unload more that might be classified as “expired” .

The F18’s first come to mind ,.  It dosent have to be all of them , but certainly 2 -3 decent “Squads” of 5 or 6 could change a lot in a short period of time.

At the same time, for most of us here and the world, it is quite obvious that this is another attempt to defame and criticize Ukraine and the West, thereby distracting world’s attention from what is going on right now in Ukrainian territories – disastrous humanitarian situation due to Russia’s aggression – as well as justifying the brutal aggression against a sovereign state. 

We arefed up with Russia calling so many Security Council meetings including Arria-formula meetings to this end. Do we, the Council Members and UN Member States, really deserve this? Despite all the efforts by Russia, no reasonable person would believe its narrative. Such misuse of the prerogative of a Council member would rather be self destructive, further damaging its reputation. It is sad for everybody.

We once again urge the Russian Federation not to squander our precious time and resources for your political purposes. Russia should direct its diplomatic energy toward correcting its own violation of the UN Charter.

We remain steadfast in upholding and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law, respecting the UN Charter. There must be no impunity for war crimes and other atrocities. Justice must be done, and those who are responsible for the undeniable atrocities must be held accountable.

Back then leaving nuclear weapons in the hands of poor and corrupt nations like Kazakhstan, Ukraine etc was considered a bad idea. The most expensive part of nuclear weapons arsenal is annual maintenance and upkeep. Ukraine had no money for that, not even smaller arsenal. Even Russia’s military in the 90’s was in complete disarray, rotting away and being abandoned or sold to war zones across the globe.

Joe,   there are many things that all of us here are learning throughout this event.

   I include myself in that.

 

Its unfortunate how a War can throw open the blinds on World affairs and help us understand just how corrupt power can be.

 

I am just appalled at the sense of life being worthless,  and needing a King or Dictator to serve in order to have a life.

Another thing I did not fully understand a few years ago. The west needs to ban:

 

- the wef

- the un

- the who

- the imf
