YES!  Love having more centers in the system and the kid looks like a good'r.

He's gonna be a standout in Abby.       (from Vancouver is Awesome):

It appears that the Canucks will continue to evaluate Zlodeyev at the Abbotsford Canucks camp to see if he's worthy of at least an AHL contract. He should be. The 21-year-old centre is a capable two-way player who gets in hard on the forecheck and plays with a feisty edge.

Good news, keep him out of that sad country and give him a chance here.

The kid's been doing his best to make it by coming each summer and working his butt off.

I recall a few years ago he cited Podkolzin as a major influence in terms of attitude toward the game and being a teammate. I'm sure they'll be good together in Abbotsford.

PDG is hard on the forcheck, hard on the walls, down low and can play defence. Having a player like that with skilled players is often the smart way to design a line as he’s a puck retrieval player who can get the puck to the finishers.

construction of a lineup is about roles not about hey I need 6 players in my top 6 who will get me 70-100pts.

this is true, i thought hoglander would be the placeholder, but if its PDG im ok with that, its probably better to keep the placeholder on the line, assuming Mikheyev will be replacing PDG when healthy... building chemistry takes time
