You mean a decade long ex gf that broke your heart, threw you out of the house unexpectedly for no good reason. I'd tell her to gtfo.

Well...

I might sleep with her first, BUT THEN I'd tell her to GTFO.

Self- Esteem

The Offspring

I wrote her off for the tenth time today
And practiced all the things I would say
But she came over I lost my nerve
I took her back and made her dessert
Now I know I'm being used
That's okay man 'cause I like the abuse
Now I know she's playing with me
That's okay 'cause I've got no self-esteem
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
We make plans to go out at night
I wait 'til 2 then I turn out the light
This rejection's got me so low
If she keeps it up I just might tell her so
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
When she's saying, oh that she wants only me
Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends
When she's saying, oh that I'm like a disease
Then I wonder how much more I can spend
Well I guess I should stick up for myself
But I really think it's better this way
The more you suffer
The more it shows you really care, right? Yeah
Now I'll relay this little bit
Happens more than I'd like to admit
Late at night, she knocks on my door
Drunk again and looking to score
Now I know I should say no but
It's kind of hard when she's ready to go
I may be dumb but I'm not a dweeb
I'm just a sucker with no self-esteem
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, yeah
When she's saying, oh that she want's only me
Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends
When she's saying, oh that I'm like a disease
Then I wonder how much more I can spend
Well I guess I should stick up for myself
But I really think it's better this way
The more you suffer
The more it shows you really care
Right?
Yeah yeah yeah

Kuz is such a beauty. Notice he tilts his head like a dog when he doesn’t understand the words. Really think with his new conditioning that he will crack 40G this season. Here’s hoping it doesn’t have the Steve Bernier effect. Doubt it but sometimes a little extra bumper is good for impact🫠

His shooting percentage will go down

but his minutes, pp opportunity and shot volume will all increase substantially

that with his new conditioning and playing with an even better strong Petey has got me excited

Drance saying Studnicka has been a standout over 2 days. Playing his arse off and scoring some nice goals.  Based on what Ive heard he is a lot like Podz-good kid that works hard.  Im rooting for him.

Guys like Studnika are great for a developing team but as young guys improve and holes get filled in the line up, it gets harder and harder for them to make the team.  He's a journeyman and is what he is at this point (24 yrs).  Allvin has been adding a lot of players who have a chance to be every day NHLers partly through the draft but also from college ranks, from Europe and other sources.  Allvin has also added to the team from free agency and various trades.

Honestly, Allvin is doing a great job at team building.  The level of competition at the young stars tournament is a great example of how much better he is than Benning was at gathering talent.

I'm not saying that Studs has no chance.  Maybe since he had such a great summer he makes the team.  He's younger than I thought and I was lumping him in with guys like Dries and PDG who are both 29

I mostly recall them being much more casual. More like a loosening up prior to season and brush up on coordination. Loose atmosphere, lots of chatter on the ice, guys taking some drills quite passively, almost as though just going through the motions. Obviously a bit different in the car of the younger players/prospects who wanted romp it in a good showing, but they weren’t worked as hard as everyone as this camp so far.

This year, the players are are fully immersed in the expectation/pace of the drills. Almost every variety focuses on a serious amount of backcheck and re-engaging the play, sometimes on the fly/ zone transition. A lot of concentrated effort on understanding/anticipating how the play may pan out and reinforcing responsible man/line coverage.

Tocchet really applying a strong defensive component to almost everyone of the drills. More focus on that than driving offense and the results of it at this time, imho

Thank you so much for the summary,

last paragraph sounds like a music to my ears- I am defence first guy.
