When it comes down to it, there's usually a very fine line between actually getting over the hump. Sometimes injuries happen, or a hot goalie on the other side, like what happened in 2011.... He always had chemistry with Crosby and Malkin and he is signed long-term on a decent contract for a guy that's had 2, 1 PPG seasons, of late and this year he's in that 0.8 PPG range on a team that's struggled offensively at time. That did give me an idea Riley Smith for Ilya Mikheyev? both seem to need a change of scenery. His offensive stats are pretty wild though but others have mentioned to that he would likely be in direct competition for ice time with Hughes and Hronek. That in itself could stunt his development.
