He’s another amazing pick by our scouts who have been freed from the yolk of Benning. So he went from the next Adam Fox to not even one of our top prospects and a low chance NHL'er in a few weeks time? Make sense....
fanofvan
1 minute ago, VintageActualCanuckfan said: maybe but every canucks fan loved Kuz but knows he aint worth 5.5 and we have no cap.... so this was a cap dump with some sweeteners but reality is Lindholm has way more upside playing with some other swedes. some sedin coaches.... some better restaurants and company. Kuz just wants to party, Calgary is a party city anyway and they have deep dish pizza. Great trade both ways... as long as we can resign Lindholm asap based on his current production. Cause Petey will turn him into a superstar. Curious what you think Lindholm is going to cost to resign?
Alflives
We got Lindholm, a Selkie level C and it cost us pretty much nothing. My God! Allvin deserves a statue! And now we see the Jets paid more for Monnnohands. Allvin deserves two statues. 2 1

Right I think if they are basing it on last year/this year they guy would jump at 6x8 yrs to be on a winning team. I dont know how we can afford more.... looking at 6-8 years ahead. IMHAO the current group has earned (obviously) managements spending to provide help in the now. That’s how the guys are rewarded for their efforts. If EL decides to take a team friendly deal to stay (after we win the Cup) then we keep him. But (IMHAO) we aren’t really interested in keeping him beyond this Cup Season.
cripplereh
Was on FB and flamer fans really think we got fleeced big time. So course corrected them lol. If Hunter B wouldn't sign with the best team in the NHL then the flamers have no chance. The first becomes his only way thing they get worth anything and that will be years away.Kuz who knows if he plays the same they got nothing but cap against back. After a 2 months playing with Petey he is gonna be back to a 40 goal scorer/80 points guy. So get him on the books now. He can be part of the core, if they can get him signed more than 3 or 4 years. We have 11 UFA and RFA, we need to start putting people in the books. He is at the All star game, with 5 other Canucks??? like do it. Not like Toronto with 4 guys making over 10 million, do 6 guys making between 6 and 9 million and win the cup for 6 years strait

Petey will sign for 9.5 x 3 Hronek will sign for 7 x 7 Lindholm will be offered 7x 7. IMHAO he takes that offer and we have the best top six in the league and win three Cuos over the next 5 years. 1

We thought the same thing from the Horvat deal. Fans convince themselves that they fleece teams when in reality it’s pretty close to a fair deal. Lots of variables to be determined still in this trade.

Sounds like both teams got what they wanted and if the rumours are true about Brz not wanting to sign in Van then it makes sense he was included to sweeten the deal. Drafted Fox, and he didn't wanna sign with em. Now they can have Hunter Buttersticks not sign with em. Everything is right with the world.
Gawdzukes
25 minutes ago, fanofvan said: Curious what you think Lindholm is going to cost to resign? 6 years @ $7.25 would probably be considered an absolute coup considering he was asking/turned down 8-9 mil from Calgary. I wouldn't be completely against it. He could be either a center for Petey or even be a center for Miller as he ages, or play wing himself. Unless we can find a better more gritty goal scorer for the top 6 ... but that's a tall ask too. Either would most likely mean Garland, and or Mikheyev gets traded, but that's how I've seen it all along. Good thing is we definitely should get a good sense of how well he will produce with this group after 50-60 games.

Captain insano
Our market rarely talks about Hunter brzzz he was a mid tier prospect of ours that was putting up some crazy points in junior hockey, now he’s being talked about like he’s Adam frickin fox, and here we thought we had a shallow prospect pool lol

He is going to blow up even in the next 30 games. Lindholm is a huge upgrade for Petey. Now we have Miller/Brock Petey/Lindsay Garly/Joshua Rotate everyone else around these three pairs and no one will figure us out.

So really we have one generational D in Hughes and one elite superstar D in Hronek, Hronek would be the best D on 30 of the nhl clubs. cripplereh
You have to remember that Calgary lost the two best players that played with EL and the new guys didn't click right with him. That is why he wouldn't resign.Playing with EP might sway him to sign here as they have had that same chemistry in the past.

Hronek has 9 points in his last 20 games...he has cooled off significantly since his hot start. By best D on 30 NHL clubs do you mean best +/-?
