My view from the last league game of the season. Great game and awesome weather

One of the guys that I know since 10 years, in our supporters club (for Manchester City) was wearing a Canucks cap on this trip. So I asked him if he was also a fan? He said that one of his best mates is the GM of the Canucks 🙂 🙂 Grew up together in Leksand. Small world...

Interesting video about Stade Brestois.  French club that not too long ago was in the 3rd division in France.  A club whose main goal is/was to just stay up in Ligue 1.  A club with one of the lowest wage bills in Ligue 1 and a budget 5% that of PSG.  They finished 3rd this season and qualified directly to the Champions League.

It's about time Real got a star player!

(Just doing a bit of googling.  Seems that LaLiga games are carried on TSN+.  At $8 a month, might be worth thinking about in order to watch RM games next season.)

TSN channels on cable have been showing La Liga games this year as well, most on TSN+ though.

The rich get richer.  The crazy thing is that Mbappe is 25.  They get him in his prime, and he's not costing them 200 million.  Crazy.

Another consideration is: how much soccer does a person want to watch?   Arsenal will be worth following next season to see if they can do a bit extra and win the title.  Is there time to watch Real Madrid steamroller their way to a LaLiga title?

Fenerbahce announces Jose Mourinho as coach to end 10-year wait for league title

From the article:

"It would surprise few people if Mourinho and Fenerbahce is a combustible mix in a fiercely passionate soccer city."

What could possibly go wrong?

Fans and players could get in fights.  Oh...Wait...Nevermind.

Ah, Manchester City - you loveable scamp.

As has been noted here, Manchester City is facing 115 charges by the Premier League of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

And now Manchester City is suing the Premier League.

(The article is from "The Athletic" so it may be behind a paywall.)

Man City are taking legal action against the Premier League – what does it all mean?

City have brought a separate legal case against the Premier League’s associated party transaction (APT) rules, which will begin on June 10. The implications, if City are successful, could reshape the division’s financial landscape.
