Outsiders
anything more than 2x2 is an overpay for Tanev in UFA. Guy is gonna be 35 basically at the start of next season. Y'alls love for Tanev is crazy, take the blinders off. Guy is most injured player in the league, if you think Soucy is injury prone lol He cant even make a clean outlet pass

Provost
7 minutes ago, Coconuts said: One less D available on the trade market Well not that I think he should have ever been a primary target, but a guy that you can bring in as the playoffs starts is a Tampa level of cap shenanigans. Minimum one month, extend it a tiny bit to be sure he is “fully” healthy, give him a conditioning stint in Abby… voila. It is playoff time and no cap issues. If we get another injury in that last 2-3 weeks and there is cap space you activate him for play in the last handful of regular season games. The bigger issue is how bad Philly wants to get rid of his contract for future years. He would be worth effectively nothing in the above scenario and they would still have to retain. Maybe they get a 3rd round pick and a mid/lower tier Woo level prospect. It probably doesn’t make sense from their end.
elvis15
Having him cost controlled (after retention from Philly) would make it plausible, but we'd have to be careful with the cost to obtain him. If we could do it this year using Myers as part of the deal, that would help ease the cost. Edit: And it doesn't matter if he's injured... WHL rocks
I'd rather get Sean Walker or Nick Seeler from the Flyers.. Risto is going to be expensive. Go with Walker instead. RHD and can put up points. Seller is LD but is a solid Dman and 750k cap hit.
