You are not being objective at all. Only a great pusher can get 3 points in 11 minutes of game time. Not at all. Points aren't what make Petey a great player. I'd take Petey at 75% of the points if he returned back to his Selke form. He hasn't been nearly as strong defensively this year, isn't possessing the puck as well and moving his skates to what he has been the previous 90% of his career. When he plays with intensity he makes his line mates successful no matter what. This year there's a reason why his linemates aren't nearly as successful. It's not all on them, he played a role in it too. Petey can be Hoglander with elite talent. This year he's just elite talent without Hoglander's determination. Love the player but he's regressing in effort level. Last year he was a top 5 forward in the game. Can't honestly make that claim this year with any honesty. The difference between picking off a couple pucks one game and getting 3 points and looking invisible is not going to be much, even though his effort and execution is the same.
