He has a low hit total of 16, so you're probably right about that.

Yup, he plays positionally sound but doesn't go out of his way to hit people. I'm sure part of that isn't getting out of position. Especially when you're only 180 lbs., he likely knows he's not setting the tone or accomplishing much by trying to be Raffi Torres out there.

I definitely wouldn't say he's a pussy though as Hairy says. He just knows how he can be effective out there. He's fast skating, knows his angles, and how to play effective defence. He's got a +/- of zero, and 6 points so a very low event player, which is kind of valuable on the fourth line. Can someone be more effective there for us? Possibly, but it shouldn't take away from Aman's strengths either. We should remember he's a second year player with less than 100 games under his belt.

But if we found a tough sonofabitch 4th liner to throw into tough games like Boston. We could take some pressure off of our top 6. Aman ain't scaring anybody.

Brandon Duhaime, Minnesota Wild
RW, 26, 6’2”, 200lb

Justin Danforth, Columbus Blue Jackets
RW/C, 30, 5’9”, 190lb

Mark Kastelic, Ottawa Senators
C, 24, 6’3”, 210lb

Mathieu Olivier, Columbus Blue Jackets
RW/LW, 26, 6’1”, 217lb

Michael Pezzetta, Montreal Canadiens
C/W, 25, 6’1”, 215lb

Aman would definitely benefit by gaining about 10 lbs or so.

We need to move on from Aman. We need toughness. Our 4th line needs some help. As has been lacking in games recently.  Canucks Army Stephen Roget points out a couple of candidates.

Brandon Duhaime, Minnesota Wild
RW, 26, 6’2”, 200lb
$1.1 million, expiring in 2024 (UFA)
116 hits 51 games

Justin Danforth, Columbus Blue Jackets
RW/C, 30, 5’9”, 190lb
$975K AAV, expiring in 2024 (UFA)
 91 hits in 50 games

Mark Kastelic, Ottawa Senators
C, 24, 6’3”, 210lb
$835K AAV, expiring in 2025 (RFA)
55 hits in 30 games

Mathieu Olivier, Columbus Blue Jackets
RW/LW, 26, 6’1”, 217lb
$1.1 million AAV, expiring in 2025 (UFA)
62 hits in 23 games

Michael Pezzetta, Montreal Canadiens
C/W, 25, 6’1”, 210lb
$813K AAV, expiring in 2025
153 hits in 39 games

Greenway is 3M so no.

What about waiving Aman down to Abby and picking up Zack the Mack of wavers tonight from Ottawa... they sent him down again! free money free money.

MacEwan didnt have a Tocchet coaching him.

Well, he scored against Philly a week or two ago... thats something, when only playing 6-8 minutes and being a bench warmer most of the season.

We need a guy like that on the bench for the games we need some size.

We would have to send Aman down on waivers too, but with his performance I dont think he is gonna get picked up.

I think its time to bring this guy home, even if he is in press box %80 of the time.

Tocchet would fix him. Zach MacEwan free to claim on waivers? heck ya, put Aman on waivers, he can go gain some weight in Abby and be on the black ace squad.

People can't even handle being down by a goal. It's so unnecessary.

That's my wife. She absolutely hates when we're down by a goal and gets very very mad. Don't think I'll be able to watch Canucks hockey with her

He scored a goal against Philly? 🤣 Well geez then sign him up.

No, seriously he sucks at NHL hockey. He wouldn't accomplish anything on the ice, or sitting on the bench. Useless player. Way rather keep Aman.

He's learning on the fly as we go along. He's demonstrated an ability to learn and be responsible on a top tier team. Definitely a great find by our management team. Could we use some more depth ... sure but Aman is a great player to have in our system.

Agreed.

But... I personally want someone a little more aggressive.

He's not what we need right now.

It's too bad Podkolzin wasn't a center.

Take her to the "Brass Rail" to watch the Canucks game, and she'll be really down on something, or really pissed off! 😆

I was thinking about yesterday's game... If not for Demko, we could have very well lost that one.

Im not encouraged by what I've been seeing lately but this also reminds me of the last time Soucy went down. We were barely keeping our heads above water until we got Z and then we started winning again but the games were close.

If we can come out of this road trip 3-1-1, I'd have to think we'd be  happy right?

Well, she'd be right at home in GDTs, fit in perfectly. 😉
