I am just saying that not every negative remark means there's a mob after somebody. Nobody hates Mikheyev and nobody ever hated Hronek. Sometimes there are one or two people that just really dislike somebody or overreacted to a few games. Mik had a major acl injury. It takes a while to recover, i just think he needs time. His speed just isn't back. He doesn't suck, just rather see pdg/laff out there.
Tocchet.A.Hockey.God
Great game by the Canucks so far, Refs feel bad for Chi I think if i was the ref I'd want to help Chi out a little as well. This kind of game is embarrassing to the league.

1-d
I feel we could use a forward with a higher finishing rate. A true scorer, even if he is not exactly a two-way force. We have enough of those throughout the lineup now. Will Kessel be that guy? Unlikely, but not impossible.

"The Chicago Blackhawks are different from other sports teams with Native American themed logos. For one, they do not have a mascot depicting anything Native. Their mascot, named “Tommy Hawk”, is a black hawk bird. Setting the team apart further from other sports imagery controversies, the Blackhawks have been willing to engage with the Native community. When the Blackhawks were first contacted by Sally Wagoner, (then grant writer and nurse working with Joseph Podlasek), the team sent upper management to meet with them, taking the chance to have a dialogue with Native people seriously. In the second meeting, Trickster representatives had the honor of directly talking with the President as well as the Vice President of the team to discuss the challenges and positive relationship that could be built over time between this sports team and Native peoples. They have honored their word and meet often with Joseph Podlasek and officers of the Trickster Cultural Center to ensure they are still on the right track with representation. The Chicago Blackhawks franchise has never misrepresented the image of Chief Black Hawk, nor have they ever used Native American mascots or disrespected Native American culture through the improper use of or presentation of regalia. It is because of the Chicago Blackhawks’ genuine respect for Native people and support for life-long learning that the Trickster Cultural Center, the Native Veterans Group of Illinois, and other members of the Native community are elated to continue this partnership to tell the story through a Native voice, engage with community efforts and needs, and honor Native American veterans year-round" 1 1

What a load of shit that is Mikheyev has NEVER been a top 6 player in his career, just because we played him there doesn't not make him a top 6. PDG played in the top 6 to start the year, is he a top 6 player? No. Mikheyev can't drive play, has stone hands offensively and his career high in points is 32. To put that in perspective, that is only 5 points more than Hogs' rookie year. Mik is a 3rd liner, and a very good one at that, but he is not top 6 material and we have better players on the team for a top 6 role. Mik is a very similar player to Jannik Hansen, who was never a top 6 player.

Pure961089
I really liked the Hoglander Petey line. They looked especially dominant. Hoggy and Petey are so good at keeping the cycle alive.

The hockey team is named after Sac and Fox Chief Black Hawk, a warring Illinois chief from the 1800s, and uses his likeness for its logo. “This is simply window dressing and a diversion from their racist mascot. If they were truly serious about honoring Native people, they would change their mascot,” said Les Begay (Diné), who serves on the board of the American Indian Center of Chicago. “The team is buying public support, calling it respect while continuing to stereotype, appropriate and dehumanize Native people with their offensive mascot.” Not the place to go into it, but i think they should change it
