But yeah, Winnipeg showed us up tonight. Our stars didn't show up. Where's the pp gone? Even with the addition of Lindholm, it's this bad? C'mon. Petey wants 12M, right? Or at least that's the rumour. Where's the game changing talent that we supposedly have on this roster? Or were we outworked? And were the 4 goals that Demko let in his fault? Defense's fault or were they just good goals that couldn't have been stopped? We also tend to disappoint on national tv. Seems like every game on CBC, the big games at least, we don't seem to play well. Boston - L. Toronto - L. Winnipeg - L. LOL. Missing Carson Soucy's presence on the backend. This was a good test for the team...games will be like this as the season dwindles down here. Need Soucy back and need to add another D man before deadline. Liked our overall compete and physical game. Can’t lose both special teams battles and expect to win though. Canucks actually had the edge in play right up to the middle point of the third. BUT... the key is they were their own worst enemies as they sabotaged themselves with unnecessary penalties and started to lose their cool and focus on getting payback instead of staying with the defensive coverage. You had to know with the Jets being snakebit on the Power Play for so long over the past stretch of games, it was inevitable they would score. I think the key point of the game was when Lowry beat down Di Giuseppe... the entire Canuck team got mad and decided they were going to take the game physically to the Jets... but they took it too far.
