Popular Post Believe In Blue
Sucks to lose 3 straight, but honestly (I’ve said this before), I think this team needed to face some adversity and this will hopefully be a good lesson for them down the road that not every thing will go their way. Everyone needs to stop getting bent out of shape. Sheesh 1 4

Popular Post JeremyCuddles
9 games since Feb 6th. Which is 9 games in 15 days. This month was always going to be a gauntlet. As mad as I am about the powerplay. I don't think it's panic time. Just like it wasn't panic time in November when we had a gauntlet schedule and were playing .500 hockey. 4-3-2 isn't great, but it's not end of the world either. 4
Popular Post Sergiomomesso
Three straight games where we get a pp in the 3rd to go ahead or tie and completely crap the bed. Simplify the PP and shoot the bloody puck. Too scared to give up a shorty and protecting the puck. 2 2
Jaimito
Not a terrible loss. Sucks to lose with such schedule. But it is what it is. If they had won yesterday, this wouldn't be such a frustrating loss. 0-2-0. Need to win one next game to salvage the road trip. 1
Dom
I'll be the first to say I'm more than in a panic. We simply cannot beat the big heavy contenders. We'll beat Seattle and then lose again to Boston Saturday night to further prove this point. 1
Popular Post DeNiro
Pretty obvious we need a guy thats willing to drive the net. Too much perimeter play on the powerplay. They need to add a guy that makes a living scoring greasy goals in tight. Maybe theres an opening for Podkolzin still. 1 1 2

farinush
We are trying to find the sweet spot of losing a few games to avoid the presidents trophy curse but not fall too far to let Edmonton overtake us
PhillipBlunt
I can’t say that I’m worried. The team still has a sizeable lead in the standings and most of the players are showing some semblance of effort. Some players aren’t.
OldFaithfulcap
We've gotten through hard roadtrips. Only ones left are west coast, phoenix and a one-off in winnipeg for last game. Had a good consistent run but powerplay, pens and good teams have beat us up plus joshua and soucy out. Things to work on: 1) Powerplay - setup is ok but the avs showed us how to move in after setup, really simple but it works better than endless passes. Need to shoot more and move pettey if he won't shoot. 2)Backup goalie - Seems like desmith needs a break, time to give arty a few. 3) Line tweaks, suter is fine defensively but he misses too much. Mik needs to stay on the 4th. We moved lazar last year, i'd move lafferty. Suter should center it. 4)Timeouts - we can tell when the canucks are in a tailspin, tocchet calls timeout for big pp chances only. Need to improve. Pretty small list but great season so far, play in seattle, regroup. 1
Popular Post GrammaInTheTub
We were just a: missed Hoglander saved open net, Hronek blocked open net, Hughes crossbar, away from a win. That’s hockey! Especially against a cup contender. We played well but not to our full potential. So, just have to keep at it and get back to those foundational systems. 3 2
KFAN
Bains played well for his 1st game. Had a couple of good setups for Blueger and was tough on the puck. What a difference it would make if Suter, Mikheyev and Blueger could pot the odd goal, and we know there would be a difference with Soucy and Joshua back. It was a good game and the Avs had a couple of lucky bounces. 1 1
CanuckMan
Positives: We’re finally winning faceoffs. Bains held his own, had a couple good looks. Negatives: The power play is so stale. Every team recognises the drop pass from a mile away.
PhillipBlunt
There seems to be a lot of diving and gutless play from a lot of loathsome players this year. The NHL is becoming an embellishment league and the officials are a stain upon the game itself.

The management is pretty lucky that Petey didn’t sign a contract right now. These pressure games and his lack of presence actually help negate his ability to ask for more. Pressure moments. You better show up at some point. Edited February 21 by Canuckfanforlife82
