If he wants to stick around at a team friendly deal, great, if he wants more? Then I would rather spend that Cap elsewhere. We don't need to be top heavy we need to be balanced throughout our roster. I see Miller/Boeser as our top line and Lindholm our #2 C, I see our biggest need is an offensive winger with size and physicality for the playoffs. We are still a little light on the size and physicality and this is a concern. You get too much of that and you end up like Toronto, too far the other way and you almost win the Cup like Vegas their first year. Based on his play this year, I'd agree but based on what I've seen Petey do pervious including bubble playoffs, I would say he has another couple of gears. I don't think he cares if Petey makes more money. Also, I've mentioned this repeatedly, but Petey's actual salary for 2023-2024 is $10.25M and JT's is $8M.
