here's a true hero, I'd like to put the anti-vax morons in this guys life for 1 day.

So are you talking about people that have never been vaccinated for anything or people that haven't had a covid or flu shot?

How many times do you need to go over the topic?

You're literally the one who brought it up. I was just curious what an anti vax moron is to you. Is it someone without all vaccines?   Without covid shots?  Someone who doesn't take a flu shot?  Is it someone who took 5 covid shots but stopped and is now no longer up to date?   My buddies girlfriend got covid jabs just so she could go to cactus club and that girl is the definition of a moron so....

I will say it probably refers to your first two questions, but with context.  It obviously doesn't refer to those who medically cannot get vaccines, but this group is a tiny minority.

An example of an anti-vaxx moron.  Sherri Tenpenny (her medical license in Ohio is suspended).  She went in a public forum and stated that the Covid vaccines magnetize your body.

It refers to people who refuse vaccines on tinfoil hat grounds.  It's people who claim that there are tons and tons of people dropping dead because of the vaccines.  It's people who claim their illnesses are due to vaccine shedding (not a thing).

That is what I think of when the words anti-vaxx morons are said or typed out.  Hell, I think I even used the phrase here.

Ok so what you're saying is if even if you have all your childhood vaccines and refused to take a new covid shot you are an anti vax moron? (Other than medically as you said). Even if you never said weird shit like sherry from Ohio or sat in an inflatable hot tub in Ottawa?   Then why not if you no longer get covid or flu shots?  They are still being recommended after all

You can keep poking holes in what people type but are not likely to make a dent in how they are thinking.

I'd say 'anti-vaxx moron'  means two things.  One, they are opposed to one or more types of vaccinations, and two, the reasons they give for that decision are foolish.

I am unconcerned if you disagree with my definition of the term.

I'm not trying to poke holes or change people's opinions (not happening here I know).  I'm just trying to find out where people draw the line. It's basically if you did not do what I think you should have done, then you are a moron. Ok got it

I'm not at all talking about what I think people should have done, apart from then fact that I agreed with the vast majority of scientists and medical professionals.  What they were saying made perfect sense to me.

I would really need to know the reasons why someone is anti-vax, or what they say and do about it,  before I called them foolish.

Those childhood vaccines are more a product of the parents, not the child.  So yes, someone can have all their childhood vaccines and be a anti-vaxx moron.  Plenty of current adults fall into this.  The problem is these adults can have children.  Children who aren't getting their vaccines.  There are TONS of examples of this kind of moron.

There are lots of parents out there today who had their children vaccinated for measles etc. but never gave them a covid shot. Health Canada says kids 5-11 only 44.7% had 1 shot and only 8.1% are vaccinated per recommendation.  Are more than half of parents anti vax morons?

Only 16.3% of the total population has received an XBB vaccine. Are 83.7% of people anti vax morons?

Received an XBB.1.5 vaccine

Total population

16.3% (6,541,441)

5 years and older

16.9% (6,460,587)

0 to 4 years

4.2% (79,374)

Table 2. Cumulative number and percent of people in Canada who have received a COVID-19 vaccine by age group and vaccination status, February 25, 2024

Age group (years) Received an XBB.1.5 vaccine At least 1 dose Vaccinated per recommendations

0 to 4 4.2% (79,374) 9.3% (150,653) 6.1% (45,373)

5 to 11 4.8% (143,525) 44.7% (1,155,553) 8.1% (97,920)

12 to 17 5.3% (140,135) 78.2% (1,778,834) 8.7% (91,024)

Well, we've determined it makes sense to know WHY people came to the decision they made before we call them a moron.   Can you fill us in?

That’s how old people and extreme left end of spectrum people think. You’re with us or against us… no room for discussion or questioning things.  It’s like embracing and towing socialism of the nationalistic variety.
This is why (in the last 2 years, the biggest jump) the south western corner of BC has become isolated from ALL of Canada.
The majority of Canada has now seen through the BS spoon fed to them of pretty much every issue spun by the media and government, but the little tiny pocket of south western BC can’t even fathom it and seems to be isolating itself from the rest of Canada and is ignorantly becoming increasingly unaware or unable to relate to the majority of Canadians elsewhere.

I probably should have mentioned that I don't think there are many truly valid reasons for not getting vaccinated.

Well now we're back to where we started

They probably didn't think it was worth it. Why did 83.7 % not get the new XBB shot?

There's a lot of truth in there

Actually she sounds a lot smarter than the people you defend on here.

Is the number really that low?  Is that for the last booster shot?  I assumed the number was much higher than that...

FYI, I've stopped taking the shots, so has pretty much everyone else I know under the age of 50.  I don't believe it is even recommended anymore for people under the age of 50...

The CDC recommended that people 50 to 64 years old with underlying conditions get a booster. But it's optional for younger adults. They should assess their risks and possibly consult with a doctor before getting a booster.

That's how people on the extreme right think (young or old).  You're with us or against us....

Are we not discussing things here?
