this is why I appreciate Rutherfords willingness to get big deals done early. NJ diddled around with a Marky deal when they just should have pushed the chips in. Now they'll be close to a lottery team with nothing to show for it.

Jack and Luke Hughes are for sure hating playing in that market. Bring them here!!!

I'm sure they aren't pleased. We'll get them as free agents for our 2nd cup.

It was pretty clear last season was out of character for the Devils. They stunk bad before and stink now. They just stink. Way too soft.

Kent Johnson to miss the rest of the season with a torn labrum.

Don’t like to hear about guys getting injured but he’s been very disappointing as a player. CBJ stinks because of guys, who are eating cherry minutes, being selfish only offence Horfat kind of guys.

The Devils are getting thumped.

They're not out of it yet, but they're losing ground

LA on the other hand, they've done a good job shoring up their point lead of late and they have games in hand on teams behind them

Yikes...................

LA could be a dangerous playoff opponent, they're missing a couple weapons up front right now

LA is probably the scariest Pacific division team in the playoffs now. If Vancouver can avoid LA in the first round the better.

We are the scariest club in the league. All clubs are hoping to avoid us! F the Kings, and their stupid loser fans and their overpopulated sh*t hole of a city. They can all dodge bullets.

Good save / Maybe a wee bit of grandstanding after it was safely in his glove..

Caps mailed it in today. 5 goals against, 4 posts and this great save, against the mighty Yotes. Caps ought to be sellers now.

Agreed. Canucks need to send a message when they meet this week.

McD tries the bad angle shot at the end of the game up 5 -0. Douche. Isn't this the same guy who complained about us when we were up in a lopsided game. Such a turd.

They could be

Vegas likely adds though, Edmonton will probably try to as well

Folks like to shit on McDavid and Draisaitl around here but when they're on come playoff time they've shown that they can be dominant

Despite having the exact same team as before, the Oilers' problems were somehow exaggerated under Woodcroft and then somehow... addressed under Knoblauch.  They played way worse at first, and then they played way better.

The Oilers... with a solid, 200 ft. game, even strength monsters, and solid defence/goaltending.  Fuck 'em.

Only one analytic that matters: winning. The rest are for those fans who need to rationalize why their team stinks. Fools gold.

I like some of it to look back and help understand some aspect of a game, but no one has a predictive model worth anything.

Winning clubs tend to have a lot of plus players. Losing clubs have a lot of minus players. Guys like Dahlin are always a minus. He’s always on a loser.
