You could say the same thing about the Oilers team under Kris Knoblauch. They are a far more cohesive unit defensively. Two teams who fired their coaches mid-year. Two teams who have turned it around since. Your talk about McDavid and 3v3 doesn't mean much when they've already won 14 playoff games in the past two years.
