True and valid, however, I unfortunately have to include some over confidence has slipped into the picture. That is hard to snap. You can tell even Tocchet has had a bout of it the last month. Staying on top of the league is incredibly difficult as they have found out since that Damn Allstar break...
Darius
Hughes is probably at least as important to this team as McDavid is to the oilers. Hes been struggling a bit for the past few games, seeing uncharacteristic turn overs, bad passes, defensive lapses. He drives so much of the offence from the back. Having him and Petey kinda struggle at the same time is not a good recipe. IMHO he is being overplayed a bit - obviously because of his importance - combined with the condensed schedule ...the guy is tired. This is a major Achilles heel for this team. In the playoffs he will be targeted - and probably over played. Will be interesting to see how he holds up, but the more concerning thing is the talent drop between him and the rest of the dmen. Obviously the most talented d man we have ever had, but the drop off between him and the bottom 4 d is massive. I mean its comical watching guys like Cole, Myers and Juulsen participate in any sort of offence in the O zone. Even Hronek goes as Hughes goes. I.AM.THE.WALRUS
What’s the story on these sad Canucks? Been singing the blues since that ref fucked us sideways in St. Louis … that’s what this team needs to wake up and shake off those bad vibes and get back to playing hard again press restart
Hairy Kneel
Whelp, here we are. Stuck between the proverbial rock and the hard space. Like the little kid with the ice frozen tongue stuck to the ice cold street light pole. This is going to hurt. There's no easy way around this. Not an excuse, just an observation.

Hughes and Petey look like shit rn. maybe they dont want to win the president's trophy. playing possum. Seriously i hope we don't play LA. But hopefully this losing streak will line up for a better seeding for the playoffs. Hopefully vs the golden knights as demko has there number. Hammertime
I wonder if Pete has the same attitude reviewing video with the coaching staff as he has with the media.

Snoop Hogg
Bains needs experience and I’m not sure this is the right time for him to get it. He’s played well in Abby and was worthy of a call up. He can get more experience when we are kinda forced to have players on cheap entry level contracts. Podkolzin may be more what we need right now. Taphouse Canuck
We still lack the physicality for a playoff run. In 2011 we had Lapierre and Torres causing havoc Our 4th line is virtually invisible these days and lacks grit We need to sign a big body that can skate and throw his weight around: suggestions?

Keep Lafferty there and trade for Duhaime and Maroon. Send Aman and PDG down and let Lafferty center the line.
